Blood Testing

New member
I have received a few inquiries regarding blood testing: what tests are required for the athlete, costs, insurance coverage and how to get them done. Here is a brief summary:

For a fee, I can order from Quest Diagnostics, WWW.QUESTDIAGNOSTICS.COM, the appropriate blood tests for those beginning, continuing and finishing enhancement programs. Once results are received, I will email them to you along with commentary. There are 15 standard tests. You (and/or your insurance carrier) are responsible for covering the charges incurred and payable to Quest. If the individual needs an exact total, he will have to call his local Quest Diagnostics Lab. 99% of the users have Quest bill their insurance and they pay the balance, if any. I do not participate with any insurance plans, but Quest generally participates with most plans. Again, the individual, if unsure, can call Quest to see if they participate with their particular plan. Over the past three years, only a couple of people have gotten stuck with the full bill.

All results, findings, commentaries are strictly private and confidential. None of this info will be released without expressed, written permission. I am the only person privy to the information--the individual's local docs cannot gain access without the permission of the individual. I keep electronic copies or hard copies of all test results. I will require the individual's name, address, phone number, date of birth, and allergy to medication history as minimal personal info on file. Again, this info is private and confidential.
