Blender Shopping?

My magic bullet cant even chop up a few ice cubes in a smoothie. It was great for the price and how long I have had it.

Anybody have any recommendations on a really good blender? Not some $1000 blender. Was thinking $100-250 MAX price range.

My blender bottle is nice for quick whey shakes. but what about smoothies? What do you all use?

Go to walmart and I think GE makes it. It's a single serving blender like the magic bullet. Better quality, higher watt power and between $20 to $30. Silver and uses a screw on top with the blades attached that then goes onto the motor. For quick protein shakes with ice cubes it blends them with no chunks left. Extremely easy clean up, big time saver if you're only making something for yourself. The serving cup sizes are big too, maybe around 20oz or more.

I use an Osterizer 2 speed ,it's heavy metal construction and the container is all glass not plastic .at wal mart ariund 59.00 i ordered the ice crusher blades and it makes a great smoothie out of my Protein shakes.
