birth control and competing

here is a question for those of you that compete. I was thinking on getting back on the bc pill after my next show (i have never suffered and sides on it). Just curious if others use the bc pill for most of the year and then cut it out for the 12-16 wks of prep? also how does the bc pill affect using var in the off season, if it affects it at all??? any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

Var will not affect it at all. I've heard of girls going off the pill for prep and then back on.

There is another pill I just posted a thread on known as the "no estrogen" pill. You don't have to go off it due to the "no estrogen". I thought it would be a choice for those of us who compete.

anyone out there use the no estrogen birth control pill? Would love to get some personal experience from anyone who has or is currently using it.

Var (and other AAS) does not effect oral birth control and it's effectiveness.

People don't take the pill when in prep simply because of the estrogen preventing fat loss - and that's the only reason.
