Over 75-80 suitcase nukes went "missing" from Russian nuclear storage facilities. The only people that would buy suitcase nukes are people who intend to use it. There are very few dual uses for weapons grade fissionable plutonium or uranium.
If Bin Laden wanted nukes, guess what, he wouldnt deciede a few weeks after sept 11 2001, "Lets go buy some suitcase nukes!" . The weapons were procured probably years ago . The Sept 11 attacks took years to plan. These people are metholodical, patient, and intelligent. If you estimate that the DEA only conviscates 10% of the total illicit drugs being imported into America , that means that :
450 8x8x40 ft oversea's shipping containers filled with contraband are imported successfully into the United States annually.
