Big meal with complex carbs at 10pm?

I usually train earlier in the day, but sometimes I have to train later, around 6:30pm or so.

I train until 7:30, then have my PWO shake, then a big meal at 8:30. However, I don't go to bed until like 11-12, and I'm obviously going to get hungry again before then.

I typically have cottage cheese and PB before bed, but if I haven't eaten since then I'm going to be hungrier (and need more cals to meet my daily requirements.)

Because I've been eating protein throughout the day, I really dont need anymore than 25g or so at this time.

Is it alright to have a substantial meal with complex carbs (like oatmeal or something) along with my protein before bed?

This would be my second solid-food meal PWO, so would the carbs be used to replenish muscle, or is it still bad to have a bunch of carbs before bed?

Depends on factors such as:
- Your goals.
- Your body type.
- Your macros throughout the rest of the day.
- When you train (we already know you don't train before bed, so the carbs won't do much to replenish glycogen)

I usually train until about 7pm, drink my PWO shake of protein and carbs until about 7.30; have a solid meal of protein, veggies and complex carbs at 8; and some cottage cheese, casein and essential fats as my last meal just before bed.
