Bi-polar illness and Steroids

Well dude...shes not that bad neither. Damn! that was on crazy girl you had there bro! My wife is NOT like that. But its getting a little worse as time goes by. The only reason why I posted this question is because I believe I read somewhere a long time ago and that steroids will do harm to those that are bipolar. Either during use or after the steroids are out of the system.

Honest to god bro, manic depression is such scary shit that I can't imagine using gear would be worth the risks.

You might want to post this on the women's board and see if they've got anyone over there with insight.

i THINK IT DEPENDS ON THE SEVERITY oops caps of the disroder.. some ppl get hit by it alot worse then others. If you notice your wife gettign worse i wouldn't risk it.. Drugs for bipolar disorder are pretty heavy duty stuff.. they make u almsot comatose at times and take some of your personality away.

But your right about the weight gain.. It's very ahrd to take especially when nuthing in your diet has changed and ur adding more cardio and there is nothing you can do about gaining weight. I was told that it does taper off and your regular weight willr eturn but it takes about 2 months or so of regularily being on meds for this to happen.

I would say no just due to some personal experience with depression and anxiety. AAS will definitely help with depression but coming off is almost impossible when you are prone to depression anyway. Wellbutrin mixed with Var will/can cause extreme anxiety, something I also know from personal experience. The androgens can cause the manic side of the bipolar episodes. Basically andorgens could possibley be used as part of her treatment but there is no way I would use them without the supervision of a physician.

Wow, is this post an aberration...
For one, I would be more concerned with the fact that you are introducing exogenous androgens into a female body - that alone bears a cascade of side-effects.
Secondly, human body has many feedback mechanism, the ones you should worry about are the feedback loops - they are dennotative of negative side-effects. That said, exogenous hormones can alter neurochemistry in a MALE body. In a female body the changes are very much unpredictable, and coupled with bipolar disorder are very much UNexplored. BTW, is she a manic depressive (type I) or hypomanic depressive (type II).
Thirdly, why not try milder substances/precursors. I know this is anabolic board, and if it's legal you don't like it, but trying low dose 19-nor or OHN (nandrolones) or even 1,4-andro (boldenone precursor) could provide for initial indicators of alteration in behavior and otherwise BEFORE you administer something along the lines of oxandrolone/methenolone. I know women who have tried pro-hormones with impressive results and virtually no side-effects (lower dosages of course).

I think this has been asked - is she being treated for her condition? What does her drug-rx regimen include (if anything)?

i dated a girl that was bipolar, she had enough problems besides the alcohol and drugs, good luck carth. youll figure it out.

When messing with this stuff you gotta know the risk and if they outweight the gains..

I dunno.. i think we mite all suffer from some type of disorder. You just got to monitor.
