bfold?

To eat more you have to gradually up your calories. If you just all of a sudden dump on an extra 2000 calories a day you're going to have troubles keeping it down.

Quite often...it is miserable. I don't eat that much till I start getting serious about gaining weight and getting ready for a contest...THEN I EAT EVERYTHING IN SIGHT.

I train my mind to continually be hungry...to eat all the time. I always eat before I go to bed and I fix something to eat and put it in the fridge. I wake up in the middle of the night and eat it. I'm serious...

I listen to the voices in my head...lol...just kidding.

I just tell myself that if I am not full...I should be eating. If I can stomach anything more...then I should.

A few things that I do when I am bulking:
.....breathing reps while eating...I take several deep breaths then take another bite.

.....when I am full...I take 3 more bites...wait 3 minutes...then repeat.

i think that this kind of eating would work well for a skinny dude, but if you're naturally big or was once fat, i dont think this is the way to go, unless you do enough cardio to keep the fat down

Keep building muscle...eventually it will take A LOT of food to feed it...

I am a very active person...I am always doing something if I can. Also...I train hard, heavy, and intense a few times a week and my event training sessions contain lots of heavy and hard cardio...

I'm wondering what eating like I posted and combining it with 20 minutes of walking 3x per week would do...

Cardio for the heart and food for your muscles...

i like that walking idea. i'll definately do something similar the next time i bulk. i'm afraid i'll have to eat clean though; you know, no sugars, not mixing carbs + fats (not a lot of pizza :( ) etc. i hate being at a higher bodyfat and it's a bitch to lose it when you have to
 
I agree on eating tons of food, but if a person is eating 2-3000 calories a day he should not all of the sudden jump up to 5000+. I would add them gradually, say adding 500 calories or so a week.

BTW, extra-virgin olive oil is a cheap and easy way to add healthful fat calories. I'm up to at least 6 tblspoons a day but I know people that take over 20 a day..ewww

I like the idea on the DC thread where you eat mostly carbs and protein (and some fat) from morning till ike 3:00 then protein and fat thereafter. personally i am tryin that out right now.
