About 1 month ago, I had my BF% checked. I tried to get it before my workout, but there was no one available. After my workout, I had it checked with the calipers and with a scale. With the calipers it was 15.6% and with the scale it was 16.8%. The scale had me at 223 lbs (I weighed 216 in the morning before any intake of food). I was running my diet at maintenance up until that day.
For the past month I have been steadily increasing my caloric intake, from 3400 (Using Harry's Equation) to 4,000 (what i am eating currently). I now weigh 226 in the mornings.
Today I went to the gym and wanted to have my bf% checked to see where it was at. To my surprise, the scale measured it at 23% with my weight being 226.8. The calipers measured it at 24%. I had this done before my workout.
What is your take on this? Going by LBM, a week ago it was 187, and now, its 174? There is no way I have gained 18lbs of fat in a month, and I have def grown, since i can notice it in the mirror.
I am 22, 6'1". Two weeks ago I switched to a 40% Protein, 40% fat, 20% carb diet. I take in about 180g of fat, 220g of carbs, and 400g of protein.
