Best Whey Protein - My reasons...

i agree with you for the most part. sometimes whey is useful for extra protein when I'm too full to eat anything solid.

Yep.

Optimum Nutrition whey- vanilla. Mixes well with fruit and oj or good in milk or water.

10 lbs = approx. $50 is a good value imo

Yes, but I don't want a whey isolate :)

I like a mixture of proteins, the procomplex has a very good blend. It also has a lot of extra goodies in it.

I like either:

Optiumum 100% Natural Whey Protein (QuadPlex Protein Blend Ultrafiltered Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate From Ion Exchange and Cross Flow Microfiltration). I like this because it tastes yummy.

OR

Protein Factory Post Training Blend (50% Maltodextrin, 25% CFM Whey Isolate, 25% Hydrolyzed 520). This is the ONLY postworkout shake where I literally FELT a difference. I like this one because it works well.

Allthewhey unflavored is GREAT for adding to foods, because it absorbs the flavor of whatever you're cooking it in.

Steak BEST. :D

thats what a blend is for...
oh, i wasnt aware there was a difference. i thought all protein powders were created equal, other than the obvious differences in macro's and different types of proteins.

oh, i wasnt aware there was a difference

Whey absorbs damn fast, and casein is much slower. This is just the way the protein is wound, its primary, secondary, and tertiary structure for you chem and bio majors. Basically whey unwinds in the stomach and casein doesn't. So you get this little lump of casein that goes away relatively slowly.

Also, don't explicitly buy glutamine. Most if not all wheys have it in significant quantities, and orally ingested glutamine doesn't even go to your muscles anyway. Instead it makes your intestines happy.

Spatts,
I use to buy proteinfactory's stuff also. They were tested indy, and failed miserably. I don't remember the exact test results, but they were something like 80% of their claim(if that). Optimum tested with only a few percent off(better than average). After I saw the results, I stuck with Optimum.

Interesting. When I tested PF it came out great, but I only tested THAT blend. Do you know what was tested and where I can see the results?
