best way to transition to powerlifting

I’m going to be switching from my normal workouts to more of a power lifting routine. I would like to get stronger. Plus power lifting takes less time and time is becoming an issue with my new job. Can you give me some ideas when it comes to power lifting in terms of sets and repetitions you recommend?
 
I'm a big fan of transitioning to powerlifting. I think powerlifting is the bread and butter guys like Ronnie Coleman started there.
 
The way I would do this is pick 5 or 6 compound movements. Do those throughout the week don't overcomplicate things.
