I tend to listen to lots of dance/trance/techno. Punk gets my adrenaline moving, and I also listen to lots of 80's and oldies when I'm studying or taking a shower.

I used to listen to lots of rap but am now pretty selective, and listen to lots of mid 90's stuff.

hard house kicks

Damn straight!! Hard Progressive House, Hard Trance, Tek-House, and Tribal House totally kick ass! I grew up in the Pop/Rock/Rap mentality until I started Ravin after university when I moved to Toronto, which probably has the biggest Electronica club scene in North America...if not the world.

Oh...that DJ's name is Mauro Picotto! Check him out with my pal at System SoundBar here in Toronto: http://www.shawns-world.com
Choose "My World", then "My Album", then "Clubs & Parties" then right arrow over to "Mauro Picotto @ System SoundBar"

Classical music has the most quality and touch without any doubt or discussion. of course nobody wants to listen to just that.

I like many kinds of dance music, techno, prog, perhaps even some hard stuff, jazz, some rock, just not freaking rap. rap sucks.
metal is terrible.

i like flamenco and the son and stuff too.

emocore.

Those all are or were pop (popular music). So I say POP!

But the best music comes when you can combine elements from jazz, funk, R&B, classical and rock!!!!!!

Dance music is fine to dance to (hell I'm a popper so this and funk work for me) and metal is great to get me pumped for a workout (sometimes), but come on folks, listen to something that is the least bit intellectually stimulating.

Currently in my car's CD changer:

Sigur Ros
The Smiths
Interpol
Blackalicious
Notwist
Dntel
