Usually get mine for Nutrition Express or Supplement Direct...cheap/good products..

someone please remind me...does glutamine powder have a bad taste? trying to decide whether to get the powdered kind or in capsules...

if it's anything like glucosamine (rotten fish smell), I'd opt for the capsules!

thanks!

how do you know (that it works great).... not trying to be difficult, just wondering because alot of times you take any supplements and you don't really see and maybe don't really feel anything.... so you wonder if they're actually doing anything....

I know what glutamine is proported to do.... but what does it do for YOU?

This is what Glutamine "supposed" to do...

L-Glutamine is involved in virtually every stage of the muscle-building process - from shuttling vital nitrogen building blocks into muscle cells, to helping increase muscle cell volume in order to stimulate protein systhesis (muscle building) in the cell, to enhancing protein phosphorylation (a crucial step in muscle protein systhesis), to supporting the immune system. L-Glutamine helps regulate cellular metabolism and serves as fuel for cells. It also regulates cell volume and is a key building block of protein and muscle.*

Here's more good news about L-glutamine. A study of 9 healthy athletes reported on in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed a 430% increase in growth hormone within 90 minutes of taking a 2 gram oral dose of L-glutamine consumed after a light breakfast. Growth hormone is one of the body's most anabolic (muscle building) hormones.*

What It does for ME:

Basically I like the substance L-Glutamine, I find that I recover alot faster, my workouts or postworkout fatigue is pretty much non-existant...I sleep alot better when i take it at night...i just all depends on the individual..i have been using glutamine in my shaker for a long time..and with the "proposed" possitive affects...why not..
