Best recovery for a night of on cycle drinking...

It happens...you try and try not to....drink on cycle but when you do excessive or mild drinking on a weekend night and not planning to train the next day, what is your best recovery....Eating a meal before bed? Drinking lots of water before bed? Protein shake and vitamins in the morning?

When I do it which is rare I will try and make sure I am not missing any meals because of it and do my best to drink as much water as I can while drinking. When I wake up I force myself to eat whatever it normally is I will eat and usually it is ok from there.

I hear consuming large quantities of benzodiazepines with alcohol helps recovery by inducing prolonged unconsciousness. :D

I'd say try and drink as much water as possible throughout the night of alcohol consumption. There's really no cure or magic fix for helping the body process liters of beer, lol. Well, maybe amphetamines, but I've never quite figured out how that works.

I find the benzo way to be the best solution too. I love amnesia!!

On a more natural note add 3 grams of Vitamin C and a standardised extract of Milk Thistle with at least 1L of water before bed. Free radicals scavenged and dedydration avoided. No headache or nausea.
