Best protein for beginners

Hello wonderful people!!!

I was wondering what your reccomendations are:

I've pretty much just started lifting seriously about 5 weeks ago and I'm looking for a protein that would be best for me and that's relatively inexpensive.

I'm trying to gain a good amount of muscle without gaining too much excess fat, so I'm looking for something that isn't too high in carbs/sugar.

I've heard that casien is a good way to go but I'm not sure....

Any thoughts???

I've listed the natural protein foods with the highest biological value:

1. Skim milk
2. Eggs or egg whites
3. Chicken
4. Fish

..and don't forget your complementary foods that combine to make protein, like brown rice and beans...

Whey but like you said go for the bio value and or a combo if for some reason you can not take or have any complete protein!
