Section 8 housing will NEVER EVER be in Highland Park, University Park, College Park, Southlake and neighborhoods that are similar. Denton isnt exactly a nice town IMO. I see the illegals but they dont live or come close to the nice neighborhoods around here. As for Dallas its a big city to most but if you've lived near NYC for any amount of time you realize Dallas is not very big. Its a nice place, people are extremely friendly, great looking women, and affordable housing. The salary in jobs isnt bad either unless your looking for Investment Banking or Trading type jobs. My highest salary offer came from a company down here after I graduated college.

As several pointed out the cost of living is cheap in Texas. Annabelletx and I just got an apartment that is 850 sq ft, new appliances, washer, dryer, dishwasher, nice carpet, a large pool, a movie theater (you play your own dvd's there) a billiard room, a reasonable apt gym, is gated, and in a perfect location for $605 a month.

Thanks alot for the info. Those little cities in Texas like San Marcus, Denton area and some parts of Austin seems to be the place to live. For me, I'd go to Montana. But the cold kills me. I stay in the South.
