best pc strategy game

One of my alltime favorite strategy games is Disciples II. Check that out. You can pick it up for a mere 10 bucks in the bargain bin of most software stores like EB or Gamestop.

Secondly, another oldie but still one of my favorites is Hereos of Might and Magic III. The 4th installment of this series was piss IMO but check out the 3rd one if you haven't.

warcraft 3 blows them all away, it's unit counters are like rock paper scissors, so a game can go on forever between the gosu players, unlike starcraft, I think that the reason the masses by that stracraft crap is because massing armies is the easiest thing to do, so all the lazorz luv dat chit...no offense, but I think a durable and countering army is much better than 1000000000000000000000000 protoss whatevers.

I've been playing Age of Empires II recently, it is awesome.. Also Civilization 3 is great. Alpha Centauri is one of my all time favorites though
