I'm trying to get my arsenal of supplements in order for the new year, and I want to get some input as to which supplements are absolute musts for powerlifters and which ones are pretty much a waste of time.
I know that protein powder and a good multivitamin are pretty much required. I currently take caesin protein when I wake up and before bed, and I use whey protein before and after workouts. I mainly use Optimum Nutrition, but would love to know if any of you think better of some other protein belnds out there. For my multivitamin I have been using MultiPro 32X by AST Sports Science. If any of you have any better suggestions on multivitamins, please be aware that I can not take any made with gelatin capsules.
The only other supplement that I have been using is NOX-CG3 by Xyience. It is a blend of nitric oxide, creatine, and glutamine that I take immidiately before workouts. I used to take creatine and glutamine seperately, but I decided to give this stuff a try because of the convenience of having all 3 in one serving.
Obviously my goal is to continue getting stronger while packing on as much muscle as possible. Are there any other legal supplements that I need to be including in my routine?
