Best hair loss product for frontal thinning?

bunkka

New member
I'm a bit surprised this has become a slight issue, as no one in my family has any hair loss problems.

But, I'm starting to get a little thin on the front brow.

I went to get some Rogaine today but the box clearly stated it's for hairloss at the top of your head, not the front.

Suggestions????

there really isnt anything out there that will help against a receding hairline. ive been looking for awhile. the only thing i would suggest is to try the usual preventive measures. this may slow things down. i didnt have any success with them, but others have.

nizoral shampoo, spiro, proscar, rogaine. do a search for hair and you will find posts with links to place where you can buy the stuff online.

dude, try the nizoral 2% shampoo. I've been using 5% minoxidil for the front and it ain't been too bad. makes your head itch but I think it's working a bit.

good luck

best combo for that area hands down is spiro 5% ED and nizoral 2% ED. no doubt.

i think everyone is different. or at least i am. im 4 weeks post cycle, and i've been using spiro 5%, proscar, and Nizoral, and ive still been getting some hairloss. the weird thing is, i stopped everything except the nizoral and now the hairloss stopped. this same experience happened to me before about 4 months ago. as soon as i stopped taking the preventive measures, the hairloss stopped. im going to start a new thread and ask about this, but i just thought i would add my 0.02 cents here first.

well you need to give it time, some get intial shedding....i did not. but fact remains spiro IS a topical antiandrogen on EVERYONE. nizoral....well that is not "proven" in the medical books to be effective for this use....but most i know are happy with it. although everyone is different as you said, if it wasn't initial shedding.....then you are for sure a strange case. :alien:

I've written about this before... and please do not PM me to ask me more questions about this. I get bombarded everytime this topic comes up.

Polysorbate 80 by far is the best thing there is to keep you from losing your hair. Unfortunately, because it works over a period of YEARS... not weeks... most guys dismiss it.

I'm 44 with a full thick head of hair. My temples were thinning in my 20s when a research scientist turned me on to this. Over the period of about a year my temples filled back in.

Do your own research. Don't email me or PM me to ask questions.

That's the one I use. It sells for I think like $4 a bottle... which makes it cheap by anybody's standards. I've been using it since the '80s.

Fed. i've also heard that the rogaine causes intial sheding. as for the spiro. i have no idea. i just thought it was strange that all my shedding stopped after i stopped the proscar and spiro.

if spiro causes "initial sheding", like rogaine, how long does it take before it stops?

Sofa. thanks for the personal experience info on the Polysorbate. ive also heard some good things on it, but i didnt realize it was that good. im going to buy some this weekend. thanks. how often do you use it? do you use the Nizoral shampoo as well?

like i had said, i got no apparent intial shedding.....maybe someone else will see this that did and can give you a timeframe. but you said a month? i would figure at least a month for it to subside. perhaps you should have given it more time.

Nope... other than a full head of hair. It isn't a drug. It is a soap. The difference between it and other shampoos is it is a soap that removes DHT from hair folicles.

Well I ordered some polysorbate-80, if that doesn't work on the widow's peak, you're paying for the hair transplants :D

It's debateable what Polysorbate 80 will do for people who already have major hairloss. Some researchers describe polysorbate as a preventative... not something that will "reverese" hairloss.

I had great results with polysorbate because at the first signs fo thinning I started using it every day... and have used it every day since.

Don't think you can try it for 2 weeks or 2 months... it is a "rest of your life" preventative.

did shit for me but i was meant to be bald. have shaved my head the past 5 years and folks love it. if you have a great head shave it and don't fight it.

My hair loss is not bad; esp considering I'm late 30's, even if it helps slow down the recession, it'd be more than worth the cost; and I don't have any thinning on top. Started finasteride a couple months ago, and going to stick with that too....

I am interested in trying this also, I see on Nizoralman's site there is the Polysorbate 80 Shampoo, but I see nothing of this inner shaw shampoo you are talking about?

I think that this Polysorbate 80 Shampoo is the same type of deal that Nioxin claims to use, just at a better price.

inner is the special super duper poly-80 shampoo by two well known figures in the anti-aging, cutting edge stuff field (not AAS related stuff). nizorlmans poly-80 IS the inner version last time i ordered from him about 4 months ago.

Thanks bro. Gonna give it a shot. Looks like its sold out for the time being on his website though.

that is never sold out....probably cuz of this thread, lol. :D

How do you guys use the nizoral and the polysorbate 80?

The PS 80 says on the bottle(haven't used it yet) that it's non- foaming.

Do you guys just mix them together and let them soak in??

The strongest hairloss products out right now are a DHT conversion suppressing pill along the lines of Propecia (Finasteride) only much stronger called Avodart (Dutasteride) and a topical anti-androgen chemical along the lines of Topical Spironolactone only stronger called Fluridil (Eucapil). Fluridil is only available legally in eastern Europe.

nizoral foams up good no prob. the poly-80 you have to cut with water for thick hair (that stuff is the thickest stuff on earth i swear it), and comb it in as well as rub it in. its a bitch to have a full head of hair with that stuff. but i'll take my hair anyday over ease of use. :D

You weren't kidding, just used it and it's like honey.

It's hyped as that in the marketing literature but my take is it really is mostly just polysorbate 80 in a bottle with a couple shampoo ingredients. I use it... but I only use it because it is the ONLY polysorbate shampoo I've ever found.

Somebody said once the Hellsinki (sp?) formula was a polysorbate 80 shampoo. It may be. I've never checked out teh bottle.

not to sound like you, lol, but back in the early 90's we had poly-80 shampoo at GNC. then it dissapeared. like it went script. couldn't order it or find it anywhere. but yeah, i think inner is the stuff since its the only option anyone knows about really.

I used to buy the GNC bottles if I ran out of inner shampoo. Only trouble I had with it was you had to goo it on... then shampoo your hair. Inner let me do it all at once.

yeah, it was gel like. lol. i remember. too funny. i wonder what ever happened to the widespread sale of the stuff.

BAC carriers a plysorbate shampoo. Has anyone tried it?

SHAMPOO, LIFE EXTENSION Similar to the polysorbate formula formerly sold on national TV for $39.95 but without the guarantee it will cause the hair regrowth for those with male pattern baldness. Polysorbate is used in food, cosmetics, and hair care products. Finnish studies reported it to be an effective hair growth stimulant & hair-loss preventive for about half of men in their 50s and 60s with male-pattern baldness when used externally daily for several months. Leaving on for 5 minutes per day helps clean out dihydrotestosterone from hair follicles. Those without problems can use as regular shampoo for clean and good looking hair. 16 oz., $4.50. Code 604.0

It may be the same as Niz-man's I don't know.

Here is the link to it:

Polysorbate always dies out of interest because you have to use it forever.

Guys want something they can "try." You can't "try" polysorbate. It takes a year just to show that it has halted (if not reveresed) hair loss. It is a life long preventative... and that works against the "quick fix" mentality.

I've seen several polysorbate shampoos come and go. Marketers discover teh research... realize there is somehting that actually works... put the product out... then guys try it for 2 months and decide it doesn't do anything.

This is why polysorbate NEVER caught on... even though it is the only thing that works to really prevent hair loss.

yeah, that is true.....with anything i sell, the people want instant results and minimal (if any) effort on their part. god forbid if it doesn't work wonders in one week. like taking fat burners and not working out, or taking weight gainer and not eating food, or.....well you get the picture. :D i intend to use spiro/nizoral/poly-80 and the like for life now at 31, and especially using these AAS i have been partaking in. :) but even so, i'd use them anyway if natural.....why not save your hair?

I had great results with myhairway method. In the past two months I've seen vellus hairs start to grow, and a some hairs start to fill in where my hair had receded. I want to thank M.Gardson and myhairway book

Thanks a lot for optimistic post!... I have tried myhairway method and noticed some early signs of improvement. While it's only been 4 months and I haven't really given it enough time to see really significant results. I have to say that I'm definitely seeing terminal hair regrowth along the hairline and at the crown.. I wasn't expecting to see new hair, but I'm getting a few new sprouts every so few days

I started Finasteride 6 years ago when I started losing my hair in the frontal area in my mid 20's and it almost all come back, like 95%. My college buddies cant believe it.
I will note that it took almost 8months to start to see results, I initially lost faith in it because i couldnt see it working in the first coupe months. I only kept taking it do to the fact that I bought a years worth. To my surprise it works great just need patients. There are plenty of DHT blocking shampoos out there. The chemical make up of anti- dandruff shampoo is supposedly an anti- DHT shampoo too.

Lastly Fina at such a low dose is probably good for a lot of guys prostate who do or have dabbled in AAS.
