Berries in post workout drink?

I was wondering if berries would be good for carbs and sugar in a post workout drink, I got this nasty tasting protein powder but with berries it taste awesome.

Berries 3/4cup 70 calories 10g sugar 15g carb
Honey 19g sugar 17g carb 60 calories
1 Banana
8oz water
2 scoops protein powder 44g protein 220cals

Hows that look for a post workout shake?

Of course it tastes great with all that sugar in it. Way too much my friend, sorry.

Best carb to add to a post-workout shake is maltodextrin.

Where can I get that? I heard some people taking 80g dextrose post workout, if you add mine together is 29g sugar, didn't seem like alot to me. Thanks

Edit: also is that maltodextrin carbs and sugar together or would I still have to add some simple carbs or sugar to my drink?

Not all simple carbs are created equal. 29gr of fructose (sugar) is A LOT of sugar. You'd be better off adding Cocoa Puffs fo your shake.

Maltodextrin is a simple carb that does not produce the insulin spike that fructose does, which is important when dieting. Dextrose is a good post workout carb as well, but not as good as md. You can get it at any nutrition store. It's very cheap.
