Benching

During this mornings workout i experienced pain in my shoulders. My form was good as i was realy concentrating and the weight was quite low. Any suggestion to what this can be? and it only happens on the flat bench. never on inclines. :(

Flat benching every week will cause most to have shoulder problems at some point.

Rotate your core chest workout with inclines, dumbells, barbell flat bench.

Also work your rotator cuffs.

I rarely flat bench any more . Like mr Genarr said doing it every week will do a number on your shoulders ESPECIALLY if you always go heavy. Rotate that shit around and I would actually lay off the flat bench for a couple of months.

I have the same problem....Around 10 years ago I had surgery o my shoulder because of 4 dislocations....I know they stretched my cuff or something like in the surgery(before orthoscopic was popular)...but I try to do bench once every other week and replace them with pec dec or dumbel presses and flies

No i dont stretch before i gues that can be the problem. Never thought something so trivial could mean the difference. I will give it shot.

if rotating your routine doesnt work. try warming up, then hitting 3-4 sets of moderate-heavy flys..then go to the bench. your strength might drop a little, but you will feel better and get a great pump.
