Benching with chains

I rather enjoy doing this. I like the sound the chains make. Is there any real benefit to doing this? What does it do differently for you than a regular bench?
 
Explosiveness and/or lockout strength.

When I did westside, I use bands instead of chains because they were faster/easier for me to setup then chains. I did make some good gains on my normal bench for awhile. I'm not sure if it was due mainly from all the ME/DE workouts or from the bands/boards themselves.

you are going to deload the weight of the chain as you are bringing the bar to your chest, and load the weight of the chain as you are pushing the bar to lock out. this will help you with your lockout strength. which is a big thing for people who use a Bench shirt.
