Looking to get the 3 plate press, eh?
I always found moving up a whole plate difficult mentally.
Here are a couple of tricks.
1. Use smaller plates to equal upto 315. Small increments help.
2. Get a real good spotter and practice negatives with more weight than you can push to get a feel for that kind of weight.
When I say a good spotter I don't mean the 120lb guy who seems real nice at the gym. I mean someone who can lift that shit off of you.
Remember strength means alot more pound in for pound out. That means if your 185 pushing almost 300! That's a damn good ratio. Good work. Keep it up!
