bench lockouts

First time trying rack lockouts(bench) today, felt good, but the way my rack and bench are set up, i only get 2 1/2 - 3 inch ROM. Is that alright? I would rather it be about 5 inches or so, but i do 4-5 board presses alot so i figured that should cover that ROM good enough. Anyhow, just curious how much of a ROM you guys have when you do bench lockouts?

I've read that the Metal Militia crew uses 2-3" ROM. I tried it and got a ridiculous amount of weight locked out. I'm going to continue with the small ROM and see where it takes me.

Alright, I was hoping for a response like that thanks man. I figure a 5board probably leaves me like 5-6 inches anyhow, so lockout would be the next step. Thanks bro

yea..those are good any lower and you might as well be doing 6-5 boards brotah. i do mine from the 2-3 inch ROM. tb

I work from 6 to 2'' in the rack. Thats just my preferance.
