Bench help ...

I can’t seem to bench over 365 without my wrists and elbows hurting now and I have laid off maxing out allot recently on the bench, what’s the deal…. I just keep bouncing up and down in weight, because once my tendons heal, they get sore again from hev pressing, then I just stick around 365 then back down again.

I can’t think of why I’m stuck around this weight….any ideas

Well... when I try to do my next max @ 375 I get stuck 6-7 inches off the chest and sometimes right off the chest too, my spotter then helps me..after that I can press it out for the lockout, its just those areas that I have troubles...

also if it helps at all, i get really sore in my delts and frontal area of shoulders ...

technique is most likely a culprit. it may not be consistent. i say this becuase you say sometimes you fail at lockout, and sometimes you fail off the chest. if its with the same weight, then its first of all it is form.

you want to lock out that bench, then train your triceps more.

if you keep failing off your chest, make sure your staying tight. if you are you need stronger lats, shoulders, triceps and lats. i recommend dumbell presses the most for the bottom range and over all raw strength. for your lockout, do some board presses.

Do you think my arms are gettig all the stress and thus hurting the elbows and wrists because of my weak midpoint .. Liftbig?

could be, id like to see a video if its possible. elbow pain is something ive learned to deal with. wrist pain... well wear wrist wraps, make sure your wrists arent bent back. they should be nearly straight, slight bend.
