i got the log started a little lat.
im on day 4 as of today. feeling sleepy by mid day as of yesterday. im running on 2800 clean cals around 200 carbs.
im thinking the carbs may have to move up. not feeling any real change just yet. but rumor has it this kicks around week two. so im in for the ride.
right now my beast dose is broken down by 8 hrs and my guard is 4 hours after.
once i jump to 30 ad when should i be adding the 10mg?
im off to hit the gym now!!!! back in a wile ;)

pretty generic 5x5 with some light isolation lifts added.

i may switch this up to a 4 split so i can hit a extra day with the weight.
as is im onely in 3 days a week on this 5x5. and one day to work total body in the 2x12 range along with cardio. if i drop cadio for this bulk im going to want to hit the iron harder..

i know you want a 4 hour window between need2gaurd and beast. and 8 hours between beast.
should i "double up" in morn? or take the other 10mg mid day before lifts?
i would think mid day would compete with the need to guard?

good day with the iron today..
up on squat by 10 lbs and close grip bench 5lbs
across the board up on all with no hesitation. not sure if its the beast or the diet but today just felt awesome.
finished my norm day about 20/30 minutes earlier than normal for these lifts. rest time must have been must faster than norm.
so of corse i didnt cut out early and go eat twinkies.....
i went another round of single 8 rep work for the same lifts i did working my 10 rep max... that killed it!!!!
i walked out knowing i left it all behind. i hate walking out thinking i could have done more. so i try to never do that...
ive upped my carbs to around 300 ed and the "mid day slug" has seemed to go away......
tomorrow is a normal cardio day.. im going to shoot for about 45 minutes on the bike ot tread. but not sure i will be able to leave the weights alone.
we will see.
morning oats are cooking away. its time to rest. shooting for a clean 8 hrs sleep. (this is a tough spot for me)

Dam bro thats a whole lot of working for doing a 5x5. Once you get up in weights you may wanna or feel like you need to drop some of it out. So dont be afraid to. Just keep the big lifts in, thats whats important.

if my big lifts suffer i will drop some of the accessory work volume. but as long as i can keep the total gains going im running hard.

well yesterday was first day at 30 on the beast. here's my dose schedule
7:00 am 2:00 pm 4:30 pm for beast
n2guard at 12:00pm and 8:00 pm
week days i dont get to hit the iron till around 5:00 some days so im thinking this is the best way to break up the times and leave some bumpers for my guard and beast
off to work then home to kill this SH*T

seemed like 1:00 in after noon all i could think about was moving the weights around. i was almost 2nd thinking the 2:00 dose------LOL of corse i did though
killed it in the iron today.....raised my weights across the board on my "A-day" work out by 5 lbs minimum some 10 lbs..... the biggest shocker was a 15 lb to my shrug.
weigh in shows about a 5 lb increase in my body weight as well. no real visual differences but this is onely week one. still hard to believe i weigh 4.5 more....
i have noticed my bathroom routine has changed dramatically. "lots of sets with low reps" ;) not quit sure why but its new sense the beginning of this run....
 
so today (day of rest) i was spotting my son wile he figured out his new 1 rep maxes.... wile he was on "cool down" i jumped in the rack and rep-ed out on a few lifts with some meduem weight.
i realized quickly i was ripping sore from yesterday. and had to take it easy on a few lifts. my son (15 yrs old) gave me sh*t about lifting on a rest day... finely i had to stop and say "fine dad" lol
it was fun though. we usually lift on alternating days and do cardio on the days the other one lifts... im really trying trying to say away from the heavy cardio work wile on this bulk.
but its tough = sense my s4 / osta cycle really changed the way i look at the treadmill and elliptical.

i may be looking into that latter down the road. this beast cycle is all about the bulk...

i feel ripped of becuse my buddy needed a ride to get his script before the local pharmacy closed.
i killed all my regular lifts for my day "B" but defenetly had a lot of steam left. completed my lifts in about a hour and 15 mins........ by the time i got back from giving him a ride i was out of gas...
dam him....
tomorrow's another day.. but suppose to be cardio.... i think i may work a full body high rep day instead........ just to keep going.......

No problem buddy, any time! Good to see you killing it. Your best strength gains will be week 3 so get ready to feel really dense from those high weight sets. You'll end up gaining close to a pound every day or two, beast is king of bulk!

rest day
spent 20 minutes on the treadmill and about 45 minutes doing body weight exercises and abb work.
tried keeping it all light.... but its hard when the DRIVE tells you to PUSH HARDER....

killed it today. ran my day "A" today...... killed it fast went another round working in the high rep range again. still had some steam after that. so i played with the cable pulls for a dead finish. im smoked right now.
im feeling a little thicker today to my self. kinda denser as well. could all be in my head. but im going to go ahead and believe it.....
i may run a bit latter today for a bit. but not sure yet....
i must say this is a great feeling;)
 
weigh in this morn 1 pound heavier than i was 6 days ago........
im eather going to cut cardio or eat more. body fat hasn't changed at all. lifts have all gone up. but im onely a total of 6 pounds heavier from my start date.
this is day one of of week 3 so about my my half way point with the beast. was hoping for more. and from what ive heard this week is were it starts coming on aggressively ;)
we will see. im going to turn cals up by 200 and weigh in daily to nail down were that puts me. some fat gains would be acceptable but i dont want much.......
 
Sorry but what's your cals/carb/pro pd? Mg beast pd? And limit the cardio on the beast to bare minimum I don't do any till pct!and you have to lift heavy bro keep the high rep shit to one chaser set at the end but you should be heavy as! You are right w3 is the sweet spot so focus bro focus!
 
Give you a example I'm on sd not beast(same thing but beast is better) I'm 2nd day of w3 and am up 6.5 kg think that bout 11 pounds! No way your cals and carbs are up and your lifting heavy
 
Munch down bro, SD is a great bulker. 4000 calories, try that and see if you don't pack it on

I'm on 5000 now bro : ) don't be afraid the beast will chew up those carbs but make sure it's reletively clean dont go and eat maccas or pizza all day lol

i cant attempt 5 without my stress level going through the roof right now....
pizza is a once a week deal with me. my GF makes the best home made hawaiian pie ive had.
but besides that my diet is clean.
you two may have just saved my cycle!

No problem bud. As goat said, get that water intake up! Shoot for a couple gallons per day. I walk around with a jug all day.

Chug the water pound the food bring food with you wherever you go protein bars, nuts, Greek yogurt, protein shakers with a couple scoops of whey bring a cooler to work if you have to
 
hit the scale this morn- total gained weight from beginning of cycle = 9lbs
not sure how i screwed up on my last weigh in. but im sure i didnt add 3 lbs last night just by learning to eat more-ha ha ha
today starts a 4000 cal diet i will be keeping a sharp eye on BF. and will also try to keep the cardio down.
 
day B on my lifts. still adding weight to main lifts.
keeping my accessory lifts at same weight this time around and concentrating on my heavies...
i hit 3800 cals today. by the time i have my bed time pro shake i will be dam near dead on 4000....
it was tougher than i thought. im off work tomorrow so im going to rework my daily meal plans to hit my new cal goal.

guna stop on my way home from work and grab a new scale............ i brought mine down to the garage today after my weigh in and started weighing plates.
one 45 lb plate weighs 45 lbs no shocker there two plates 90 lbs three plates130 wtf!?!?!?! take them all off re weigh each plate individually and its perfect. stack them all back on 132!!!!!
im freaking pissed. what a sh*t way to judge progres.....
in a way i guess its funny = but ive been using this scale all year. yet if i weigh any thing over 100 lbs its wrong.... no faith at all in it.
i never pute that much faith in it as it is a cheep. just always used it as a reference. but obviously i can no longer do that.....
im going to go move some Orion around till i can leave for work.

i went to wally world grabbed 2 hand fulls of 25 lb plates from there "home fitness" area and carried them over to "kitchen and bath" tested 4 diferent kinds of "mid priced" scales.
they all checked out pretty well. but man did i get some shit looks..... one guy tried giving me some sh*t until i showed him 3 scales reading diferent lbs after zeroing them out.
i have a new scale now = new base weight = and a hunger for tonight's lifts. im going to crush 4000 cls today broken up to 3 larger 3 med smaller meals. accompanied by some shakes.i skipped cardio yesterday. but did a half hour of body weight work to fill the void.
 
10:30 at night and i just finished my dam lifts.
every one decided to show up late for work today. so i didnt get home till 7:00 wtf!!!
i hate lifting so late. all went well just a crap attitude all day. i feel better now that i got my lifts done.
i wish i could rip that crap up in the morning.... all lifts went up by not by much. like i said it was a long day @ work.
honestly im blown away i hit everything i did. more to come tomorrow...

i wanted to run this one kinda beast onely to make sure i had my feet wet before i added test in. looking at my log im glad i did! i would be pissing the money and hard work away if i didnt catch my diet screw up in time.
today's a new day and a better outlook on it! weigh in shows just under a pound gained from yesterday morning. its normally a day of rest for me but i re ran my A day from yesterday this morn with a 15% weight deload. felt killer. figer i was lifting the same exercises about 12 hours apart. but with the late lifts of last night i just didnt feel like i ran as hard as i could have. i needed to hit it again just to straighten my head out. im feeling back on track now.....
 
1.8 up from yesterday morn weigh in!
with my past weigh in vrs scale issues i had im going to call this a total gain up to date on this cycle to be around 12 lbs it could be more but surly is no less. better to air on the side of bull sh*t free
im going to finish up my coffee and breakfast and go hit it hard..
i love sunday morning lifts!

i think i over did it yesterday. i didnt realize i pushed so hard but early on in my lifts today i felt the effects.
i got through all my lifts plus some extra cable work. but all weight stayed about the same. im going to rest a full day (maybe 2)
and kill it again. i feel a little disappointed in my lifts today. but honestly theres no good reson for it. im miles above were i started at ;)
 
2 full pounds showed up on the scale today!!! totaling 14 lbs as of today!
man thats encouraging after getting my ass handed to me yesterday. my diet went a bit dirty last night at my girls fathers birthday party.
typical Italian cooking. pasta . baked pastas dishes. salty cured meats. trays and trays of home made bread. all kinds of seafood covered in all kinds of crap. and home made ice cream made with egg yokes rather than whites.
and those are just some of the stuff..........
as odd as this sounds this morning was the first "normal" bath room visit ive had sence probably day 3 of this cycle.
by normal i mean things were more solid. not sure if its becuse my carbs were higher in my latter meals or what.
i wasn't a glutinous pig or anything. i just stopped counting cals when i looked at the table. i stayed away from everything dripping in oil and deep fried.
 
body weights up another 1+ lb
attitude and focus coming back to now! i know i was thinking of taking two days off to let my self recover. so we will see if i can stay away today.
im thinking about dropping out my accessory work this week and see if i can really hammer home some improvements on the big lifts.
next run of this cycle will be on a split for a comparison.

this really is quit an experience. i do find that night if my sleep suffers my motivation drops of half way through my lifts.
im keeping around 4000 cals on lift days and 3000 on rest days. staying away from cardio all together for right now. just short warm ups and cool downs on treadmill.
i knew all the talk was that beast is a true clean bulk. but in all honesty my thought was that i was going to have to cut shortly after this. i actualy wonder if i have lost some BF
on this cycle so fare. unreal!
the onely real side i have noticed is acne on my back and a oily skin on my head. really oily like i get up from bench and it looks like some one pute a wet reg on the end of the bench.
and im going through pillow cases every night becuse all i can think about is how gross that thing must be.
drive and motivation still through the roof. i thought taking a 2 day rest would allow me to increase weight load. it worked on all but my squat. but the progress is undeniable.
killed it yesterday. what i use to do as "extra work" has just become part of my routine at this point.

electricity is back on....
im a week + into pct
morning wood is no more. motivation is hard to find. lifts are stable at best.
i did through my back out unloading my nabors generator last week. but was able to limp through my main lifts not adding any additional weight load the last week.
im down to 3000 cal now from 4000 and weight seems to be sticking.
 
today is finale day of pct.
i lost a few lbs over the last few weeks.
kept gains 15+ lbs no watter no fat!!!!
im stoked. morning wood is back and motivation is returning...
i learned a crap ton about my body and diet wile on cycle during this run. there will defenetly be some changes in diet and rutien next time i run this.
and yes i will defenetly run this again!!!
i have 10 ml of qv test collecting dust so i may try to add that in next time but time will tell (good advice always welcome)
right now im going to continue with in the same training scheme and see what i can carry though wile running natty. im thinking mid DEC for my next run?
