What does everyone think of the new bcs tweak?

I think it will be awesome to weed out the sleazy teams like k-state.:mix:

Hey

whats up wannabe, Dude i think its a bunch of shit when a team like BYU beats the shit teams on its scheduale and lingers in the BCS bowl pic. Strength of scheduale should wiegh more than wins and losses. If you want to stack your season with shit, then dont expect to play in January. NEBRASKA is taking it all this year, for sure. i agree K state is trash.:)

i like the increased emphasis on scheduling/beating strong teams. it'll hurt my 'horns, though, 'cuz their schedule is tit this year.

it'll be interesting to see if people holler if a team with one loss is ranked ahead of an undefeated team (like texas) who has played an easy schedule. i think that could and should happen.

I really like the de-emphasis of the margin of victory factor.

A playoff system would be nice.

NEBRASKA is definitely not winning it all this year!
TEXAS has more talent than anybody including Florida State, but Mack Brown is not the best coach around and they will drop a game they should win, just like they do every year.
KANSAS STATE has led one of the most remarkable turnarounds in NCAA history. And Coach Snyder did it by scheduling chumps early on so his troops could gain confidence and stay healthy going into the Big-8/12 schedule. It is time for them to come join the big boys with their OOC, but you can't judge them today without recognizing where they've been.

Florida looks good this year.
I also like Virginia Tech to go to Pasadena. Miami is their toughest game and the 'Canes go to Blacksburg in Chilly December.
I think the Big-12 is too competitive this year and all those teams will beat the shit out of each other and have at least 1 loss.

It's BS, a year too late, Miami should have been National champs last year, and they got screwed. Even though I did like to see Oklahoma win since their qb was a South Dakota boy.

and the controversy continues...

Indeed.

The fact of the matter is that a National Champ in NCAA football has always been a vote....an opinion.
Is there controversy? Sure.
Will the revised BCS end the controversy? NO.

Personally, I think the current set-up is great and college football is an excellent product.
It is not necessary to have a tournament to declare one team the best in the land. It is what it is.

Texas should have a strong shot. And there schedule is fairly cush.

Texas has a shot, but I don't think running the table in Big-12 is cush at all. Granted K-State and NU is out of their draw this year.
Colorado will be tough.
OU is defending National Champs and we remember the dismantling of last year 63-14. OUCH!
Tex A&M AT KYLE!

Then, a title game against NU or K State.

I'd rather be Florida!

speaking of roy williams...did y'all see that mel kiper named him the most important college player and said that the texas receiving corps is the best in COLLEGE FOOTBALL HISTORY???? i'm a horns fan, but i think that's a bit much.

didn't the gators have 3 receivers taken in the first round a few years back?

santana moss and reggie wayne last year. One of the best receiving tandems in college football history for sure. go canes once again in '01. We're back.

I definitely don't like Florida and I truly dislike FSU.
Miami is my favorite of the Florida teams, but they are a rather slimy bunch. Have been for awhile now.

I just like the Gators' returning talent and schedule this year. Tennessee will choke in Gainesville...again. And FSU will be less than their usual selves as they try to find a new QB.

I'm just not sold non Texas yet. The team, coach and their fans have embarrassed themselves time and time again. Last year was pathetic for the 'Horns losing to Stanford and completely choking against Oregon.

Roy Williams is the epitomy of Longhorns football. ALL hype.

Sure, the talent is there, but I won't believe it until I see it and anybody who thinks Tex will win the Red River Showdown is clearly looking through burnt-orange sunglasses.

Does anyone know where I can get a compilation CD of all of Judy Garland's songs?
