What is the difference between an ampo and a vial? I have used the large vials and loaded by just sticking the pin through the rubber stopper. How are the small self-contained glass sust vials accessed? is there a site that illustrates this?

the amps you just score the edge (sometimes the kit will include a tool to do this or just use a blade) then wrap it in a napkin and pop the end off.

Man.. I wish it was easy. Every time I tried to snap them between my fingers it would break and run down my hand.....
I go for things in a 10cc jar now. They save my self esteem.. lol

I use a Dremmel to score the amps - one quick run around the neck and they pop off soooooooooo easy. Or you can get an amp opener at several online accessory stores. I hate amps though - wish everything came in vials - less chance of getting contaminated. peace.

Some amps already have a little score, all you do it break it off, clean!! I love it!

In addition to scoring them, if you grab the top of it and swing it it a windmill fashion a few times it is the easiest way of getting the gear that is stuck in the top part (if that ever happens to you guys).

GPZ sells an amp scoring thinga-ma-jig. Worked wonders for some stubborn sust. amps I had laying around. But as yomama stated, look for a score on the narrow part of the neck. With your left hand, hold the amp firmly, then with your right hand thumb and index finger, break AWAY & UP from the score. Clean break every time.

AMPS ARE GLASS YOU HAVE TO BREAK OR SCORE TO OPEN, REALLY INCOVENIENT COMPARED TO WONDERFUL 50ML JUGS!!!

try scoring it really well all the way around, and don't squeeze below the neck to hard when snapping the top off, I usually wrap it in a towel.

Take a pen cap, put it over the end, and break it off. You can score it if you wish for insurance, but I never have.
