Did some today since it's my messin around week.

I stoled it from Crossfit.com, basically it'a front squat and then you explode up into an OHP. I did 5 x 5 (just worked out that way ;) ) with only 95lbs. Really got the blood pumping. Only thing is I wore my flat soled shoes, so hard to keep my arch down in the hole. And I couldn't keep my elbows up like I would with my front squat.

I also did some snatch grip clean pulls, light deads with a band, lat pulldown with 80lbs for 2 x 20 (using hook grip lol) and some plyo pushups.

Fun stuff.
 
You're not kidding. I tried doing the tabata protocol w/ those . . . .and didn't quite finish. LoL They'll gas you quick if you're racing a clock.
 
sounds like it would put a lot of strain on yer lower back. not sure though, but dont think i wanna try it.

Volume and time create intensity - not the load.


Try the tabata method with 20's or 25's. 20 seconds of lifting, 10 seconds of rest (db's on shoulders at the ready). Repeat for 10 sets, 5 minutes total.


Trust me - your back is the very least of your worries. Good luck trying to walk out of the gym or catching your breath for half an hour afterwards.
