bar on shoulder pain

Its very hard for me to do squats because the bar hurts my shoulders and neck so much when its resting on it, same with good mornings. I can't figure out whats goin on, do most people experience this you jus have to get used to it? thanks
 
you should be able to find the right spot were dosent hurt
theres a ridge were it can kinda rest
if you use to wide of a hand placement it can throw off that ridge
 
It shouldn't be on your neck at all! Try moving the bar a bit lower so that it sits on the traps and rear delts. Also make sure you're shrugging up into the bar.

I had a lot of trouble with this at first, but it got better as my traps got more developed. Hitting heavy shrugs twice a week has helped a lot.
 
Add some meat on your traps and you shouldn't feel the BB ;)
 
I found it easier with a smaller bar, just cant get it right with the bars at the gym though ill keep trying. train or fucking die please
