Bale gained 100 lbs.for "Batman Begins"

He said in an interview that he went from 120lbs. in "The Machinist" to 185lbs. in 6 weeks. He then got a trainer and went up to 220lbs. to play Batman. Does he really look that big in the movie? I haven't seen it yet. I'd love to know what he was on.

Prolly nothing. There was a special on E! about celeb. diet extremes for movies and stuff like that and he literally starved himself for that movie. I know from expeierence with an E.D. that when you starve yourself like that your metabolism is crazy fast afterwards and if taken advantage of, especially with good training and diet advice, you can make some good gains quickly.

he was in starvation during his previous film, the machinist... literally emaciated. The 185 probably came back without doing anything, and if you look at his physique in Amer Psycho, you can see that he's done it before so no biggie.

E! had a special last weekend about the Batman premiere and he mentioned how 185lbs. was his normal weight for "American Psycho". Then he said he went up to 220 for "Batman Begins" in something like 3 months. 35lbs is a pretty good amount of muscle to gain so fast. I'm really surprised the media never made a big deal about his transformation for the Machinist. That deserved something.

Why is it so hard to believe that actors juice? The same goes for athletes. If it's use gear and make 5 million vs. sticking to your "morals" and making nothing, what are you going to choose? It's not very hard to comprehend.
