Bahah! .... Well damn.

Yesterday (recall: psycho weather) I was going through the Tim Horton's drive through for a nice hot cup of coffee.. there was a car in front of me. He approached the speaker and then just sat there. I was wondering what the hell he was doing... c'mon hurry up, no time for thinking once you're at the speaker.. then I see him open the door, step out, bend down and shout his order into the speaker.

BAHAHAH! Your windows are frozen and you can't roll them down. I chuckled to myself.

My turn.. and be damned if MY windows wouldn't roll down either. GRR. Not only that, but I was then TOO close to the stinkin speaker to open my door. :smash: So now I'm reversing in the drive through, trying a) not to hit hombre behind me, when I can barely see out the back, and b) to create enough space so I can open my door to give my order. It was awkward to say the least.

Kinda defeats the purpose of the drive-through when you have to get out of your car..lol.

:coffee:

lol Don`t you know sign language?

It's hard to distinguish the "coffee" gesture with the "vodka" one... though at that point, either would have been fine.

You could have written on your window DD for double double :)

I am laughing with you, not at you.

Ok not really ;) ;) ;)

:D I would love to have seen an aerial view of that... if you can envision the chaos of someone trying to reverse in a busy Tim Horton's drive through.. the first guy behind me goes back a tiny bit..then the next guy.. the 4th guy down is like wtf are these jerks doing?!! Until he gets to the speaker and can't open his window or door either.. lol.

Should have Morse'd Code with your horn. I've done it when asking a girl on a date?

LOL can you imagine how often that scene was repeated in Toronto yesterday!!

I thought you said that you don't stop in this type of weather.

:lmao: I make allowances for things like getting a coffee.. I can't do that without spilling otherwise.

how can your windows be frozen so that you cant roll them down, and bd was talking the other day that his lock broke because it was so cold, these things make no sense to someone in florida

Well, your entire car is covered in a sheet of ice about a cm thick, that's what happens. Not often, but every now and then.. I had to chip away for about 30 minutes so I could see out the windows & windshield.. Grr.

Even today I make sure I park so that I don't have to reverse.. I can't see much at all out the back

uhhh, do you ever run the car's heater so you can maybe melt some of that?

Yep, I guess it makes it too thick to slide down. I should take a pic of my car for you, it's encased. :)

Uh you've clearly not experienced this. :) The car ran for over an hour. The heater was on full blast, at the front windshield.. the rear defrost was also on the entire time. Accomplished absolutely nothing. Not even a slight bit of melting.

sure i have. we get cold weather here, ice storms, snow, all that wonderful crap. i guess i've never had ice quite that thick to chip off though.

mine is silver, and they look the best when you don't do a damn thing to them. i do, however, need to find a chrome S that matches Honda's lettering style to go along with my EX model car.

:) Yeah, there was a weird flash-freeze thing yesterday where the temp was above zero for an hour or two.. everything started to melt, then it suddenly dropped & all that water turned to ice..:eek2:

I've had ice on the car before but never quite this bad. I cannot get it off faster than 1 cm at a time, chipping with the snowbrush. Ah well, by Monday it's suppose to be up above zero again.

I think it is -19 C.

And thank you for posting a very nice, classy avatar....I get tired of standard breasts and derrierre shots at times. Besides....there is nothing sexier than a really, really, really nice abdomen/hip photo.

That actually happened to me last week. Not the doofus move but the window did'nt go down in my 2001 Pathfinder. Even after a couple of hours the windows were still stuck. Not that I needed them in the 6 degree weather.

I had a date and crawled thru my back seat to the front seat to open the door because it was frozen.. He was laughing at me.. to ym face

lota people in Canada still have cars with roll down windows?

Or you could've just pulled ahead a bit so you could open your car door and shout the order out. ;)

My friend's passenger window shattered last year when he tried to open it. Cold winters suck, but then again so does really hot weather.
