No its not a high school gym I actually have to pay for this shit. I asked why they use the whistles they said its a part of the trainers training. I'm just upset because I just started and I'm under contract.

In my life I have never seen anyone blowing whistles in a gym...(And I have trained in dozens of different arenas)
That sucks for you...
Are they employed by the gym or independents?

yeah man power lifting gyms are awsome. pay by the month, lots of big dude, lots of noise, and chalk everywhere. cant wait to get back to mine

I JUST STARTED WORKING OUT AT A NEW GYM A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO, AND THESE TRAINERS THAT WORK AT THE GYM ARE CONSTANTLY BLOWING WHISTLES AND BEING WAY TO FUCKING LOUD. MOST OF THE TIME THERE ISN'T ANYONE IN THIS GYM ANYHOW...THERE IS ENTIRELY TOO MUCH HORSEPLAY. SO YESTERDAY I CALLED AND COMPLAINED. TODAY I GO INTO THE GYM AND INSTEAD OF AN APOLOGY, ONE OF THE NOISY BASTARDS WALKS BY AND MURMERS "C'MON, THERE'S NO HORSEPLAY ALLOWED IN THIS GYM" TO THE GIRL HE'S TRAINING. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT SHIT? HE MADE A MOCKERY OUT OF MY COMPLAINT! FUCK THAT PLACE.

report them to the Better Business Bureau or find out the insurance company that represents them. I am sure an insurance company would love to know what the gym staff is doing to help their clients keep safe. if it was me I would have not the fucker out.

Terminator they are employed by the gym. I made my complaint and now its just an akward situation going in there. I'm suppose to talk to another manager Monday. I want out of the contract. Grunting, slamming weights, or loud music I expect but that whistle is just to startling when your lifting.

Your gym sounds to me like a goddamn boot camp. If you ask nicely they may let you out of the contract... if that doesn't work, scream at them until they concede

If you argue enough, they'll let you out of the contract. I had to force my way out of a contract with this gym that was ripping me off. They'll try to convince you that it's not necessary, but you need to demand it. And don't let them try to penalize you with extra costs.

I'd be pissed if that shit was going on while I was training too. I've done the hardcore thing myself, trained with a guy that had a 900lb competition squat that would throw 45lb plates like frisbies when he missed a lift, but that still had something to do with training.
