Back Workout

Barbell Rows -- warmup barx16/135x10

225x10, 275x8, 315x5, 325x3, 325x3 -- I went for another set because it just felt good... can't really describe it any better than that.

Deadlifts -- warmup 135x10

225x10, 275x10, 315x8, 375x5, 405x3--- I took a pause after my 3 and 4th rep on 375... basically paused at the bottom for 5 seconds... on 405, I paused for like 8 seconds in between EACH rep at the bottom... On a side note, I felt like my eyeballs were going to shoot out of my head on that lift...

High-face pulls -- 2 sets of 25 reps

Lat Pulldowns -- 3 sets 1/2 stack warmup, stack+45 2 sets x 5

Cable Rows -- 2 sets stack x 6
-------

I then did 4 sets of biceps... high rep

2 sets standing dbell curls 40's x 20 reps
2 sets dbell preacher (legs back) 35 x 25

I felt really damn good today.

really good workout man! getting very strong, especially on those dumbell rows! holy shit! I always liked the 40's for 20 reps, very nice!
 
I used to be able to do bent over rows with 315, then I had my right lat cut in half and it has never been the same:( thank god my penis wasn't cut in half...then I would only be average!:D

I tore my esophogus in 3 years ago a few days short of Thanksgiving.
I got a peice of steak caught halfway down to my stomach,and in the attempt to "cough/throw" it back up, as it came up and tore me inside, 3-4 inches in length , just nicking an artery at the end...I immediatly spit up blood , and knew something was wrong. I went to the DR , who had ma scoped, and I woke up in an ambulance..was told things were much worse then expected.

It seems that this sort of injury is associated with a lot of pain..yet I was not in a lot of pain ( hey I am not superman...I hurt just like everyone else does...but I suffer a lot of migraines so maybe I was comparing it to those and it didn't seem like much.?)
Anyway the internal bleeding would not stop,6 transfusions later ( I lost half my blood supply!) they operated, and the way they reach your esophogus, is to lay you on your side, cut your lat in half ( 13 inch incission on me ) cut out 2-3 ribs ( never was sure ) pull back your lung , stick a camera down your throat and sow.
I had one complication, due to my large neck ( I never thought of it as large ) they couldn't stick this device down my throat to inflate one lung and deflate the other, so my initial recovery was a bit tougher,as they had to hold my lung back this something.
Didn't eat for 6 days,and left the hospital at 7 they said i could stay for 2 more , but I wanted to get out of there, and my mom cared for me a retired RN ..36 days later I was back in the gym ..the DR said 3 months ...it just took my 3 months to recover enough to go back to work.
If you look at my avatar carefully you will see my right lat does not flare aty the bottom like the left does...oh well at least I am alive!
 
Pull ups are out of my rotation now... they'll work their way back in sometime this summer... when I'm a bit leaner... and lighter. :)

Deepsquat -- damn dude... getting shit cut in half ain't good for anybody. :)

Sandman -- this back workout has boosted not only my b-rows, but my deadlifts as well. I believe I started doing deads in December... with not much weight... I am doing CLOSE to 2x the deadlift I was doing before (225 before, 430 now). I plan to be doing over 500 by this summer.

The I like lat pulldowns... more than pullups, primarily because I can't get extended on the down portion of the move.. my shoulder tends to dislocate ... so I have to only go down a certain limited range... it isn't as effective for me. :(

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IN INCREASE IN DEADLIFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOOOO....HOOOO!!!!!!

Currently stuck at 535 (I weigh 215...AND YES I HAVE A 40 SERIES LOW PROFILE TIRE AROUND MY MIDSECTION) with belt and wraps (can't seem to get a really good grip with this weight....no chalk alowed at my gym)
anyways,

regarding this mornings workout (5:00 a.m., gentleman)
I wake at 4:00 and walk to gym which is roughly 40 min.

This mornings workout.......can I hear an amen!?........
I was blessed with an awesome Lat Pump couldn't believe it....the whole back (from top to botto) I did not even dare look at the corner of my gym where I usually finish up with three sets of powercleans.....thank you C. Ditty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
