I'm not the best at ID-ing these types of problems. I have this pain in the upper -left portion of my back whenever i turn my head to the left. I can't look over my shoulder without there being a good amount of pain. Anyone know what this could be or what this could be from? Pulled a muscle? I thought maybe I just slept on it wrong, but it's been like this for about 4 or 5 days now. Thanks bros.

A few months back I had a similiar problem but on my right side. I have no idea what I did to cause it. It may well have been somehting as silly as sleeping in an odd position. It was so bad though I actually made my first visit to a chiropractor who I have never really had time for. It was a guy I play golf with and he assured me he could fix it. Anyway I had a few sessions with him but thing that did give me relief was this Electrical Stimulation machine they put me on. When I came off of that machine it always felt better. His manipulation I think didn't do mcuh at all.

Anyways it took about 4 or 5 weeks before it came good. Was most annoying for that period of time but was obviously a pinched nerve or muscle problem.

Might be a pinched nerve, i had this happen a while back and it sucked.

Probably a pinched nerve or a vertebrae moved a bit.

Do some stretching and see if you can get a decent back massage in the area to pop it back in place.

I had this exact same issuse a few months back, you cant turn you head either way?
I did it stretching on chest day i just turned my neck during a stretch and i felt i slight tear, then later that day it was unbearable,I had to have a week of training which everyone knows sucks but its the only thing you can do,put heat on it,keep it supported and just REST IT, honestly I tried going about normaly but it aggravated the sht of it.
I belive it was lower trap muscle.
Hope you feel better man

most likely pulled muscle or pinched nerve...see a doc if not better soon.

i had a pain that was on the left side and radiated down th espine if i tried to look down. i went to a chiropractor, he did his adjustment and did a little deep tissue massage while the electro stimuli worked the surrounding muscles. there was significant relief after that. if your ins. covers it i would deffinetaly give it a try. nothing to loose.

Back pain is as common a disorder as it is cough and cold. Due to adverse lifestyles, more and more people are suffering through this. But the bounty of Mother Nature offers us a plenty of cures for each disorder. Of all the effective medications available for back pain, some natural products work the best

I just did that to myself a couple of weeks ago - pulled a muscle when I was doing squats......it went away in about a week.

(I do squats with a barbell I lift over my head onto my shoulders....it's a little heavy for me, so I have to kinda bounce and heft it up and over....I think that's what strained that muscle)
