Growing up my parents would often say that the US was THE WORST communist country on the planet. My sister and I used to think they were crazy old people. Then we grew up and got fucked, but hard by the US government. Our assessment of our parents' observations about the US? THEY WERE SPOT ON!

I think you have to make a distinction between communist controls/freedoms and communist economic policy

without a doubt capitalism is by far a better economic system
and I have the pics and observations of my own eyes to make my point

on the other hand in the communist USSR there were more personal freedoms so to speak
e.g. you don't have to wear safety gear(no OSHA)
so thus as I remember my high school teacher explaining to me their perspective
"we have more freedoms than US"

very few laws and no lawyers either

but no crime either
no cops except at night

I've been living in Russia for three months now and I am f'n floored at the gorgeous girls here!! not only are they gorgeous but they dress to kill!! in this pic the girl to the far right looks exactly dressed like I saw all these other girls dressed the other day!! best way to describe it would be a french maid stripper costume!! I was jaw droppin all over the place and that's when my friend said that it was a graduation uniform and the girls were 16!! that now they only wear them for graduation but it was the mandatory school uniform up until just a couple years ago... guess I really did miss the good ol days!! haha!!

as for the chicks I've met alot of really nice good girls many of which almost seem a little naive... but good hearted... though I'm sure there are some cut throat women here too!! but they really are EVERYWHERE here!! I can't believe it it's everywhere you turn some smokin hot chick that could easily be a well paid model is walking by me with some of the most beautiful eyes I've seen and dressed in heels!! no less!! with a six pack stomach!! I've never seen so many girls with six packs even chicks pushin baby strollers!! I was like WTF??? chicks in the US use the kid excuse to never have a tight stomach again!! and here these girls are with baies not yet outta diapers!! and it's not to say they are too skinny they are complete anomolies!! they break the laws of hysics!! they have long slender legs, tight abs if not six pack style... close, like if they workedout and built up the abs then they would show sixer style!! which is actually more sexy IMO, back to the point then they have these perfect little butts!! to f'n kill for!! and a good set of tits!! and then to kick it all off they are smokin hot!! that's what I mean when I say they break the laws of physics!!!

I'm definitely comin back here, I still have a few months left and I'm already planning my next trip!!

the statement about how nobody outside Moscow speaks any english is just false!! in school here they are req a second language form fairly early on and there are alot of people that are fairly fluent in english though some prefer not to use it out of embarassment of grammatical errors, but they know quite well what you are saying and it may even be a little while before all the sudden they bust out some english and speak pretty well!! enough to converse... the thing is the sec language req only has two options german and english so generally when you're meeting somebody they will have one of those two languages pretty well under their belt!!

i dunno if i consider those freedoms or dysfunction of gov't
don't get me wrong i've been to 3rd world countries and had a blast with all the slackness in legal matter
but i don't know if i'd want that for my own country...for instance, i got injured on a jobsite a few yrs ago. thankfully, it is a law the companies have workers comp and my injury was paid for same with the time i missed from work
i doubt that would be the case in the ukraine, you'd be shit outta luck with no incoming money and a injury to pay for

My parents came from Magyar Orszag - so I think they know what they are talking about when it comes to communism. They didn't read about it in some book somewhere - THEY LIVED IT. They were born in 1932 and 34 respectively so they lived through and saw a lot. My father came to the US in 1956 (during the rovolution where the US didnt GIVE A FAT RAT'S ASS about "the communist threat" because our country didn't have gold or diamonds or even oil - big FAT freaking surprize) and my mother in 1963. They thought they were coming to a country where everyone had a fair shot, they need only work hard and they would prosper. What they found was BULLSHIT.

See in places like Russia and many other countries YOU KNEW you were fucked when it came to government, etc. So it was a matter of how much do I have to pay whom and then it was how they promised; they left you alone and life was grand. Whereas in the US - the government bald-faced lies to their people and make them THINK there are laws and freedom and equality.

BULL FUCKING SHIT.

This IS the worst "communist country" on the planet because they fucking lie to your face and make you THINK that you are free when in reality you are far from it.

Kini, I respect your ancestors for living through the Stalin Era. However, if you fast forward time to 2007, were you living in Stalin era Soviet Union you wouldn't even have access to post on EF. Had you criticized Stalin and his programs you would have been hauled off to a death camp. Stalin beats Hitler hands down when it came to mass murder. The US may be highly regulated and overly puritanical in its values but at least I'm free to openly criticize the government and the system.

You mean that way that a Middlesex County Family Court judge has

1. refused to allow an attorney represent me?... his rulings becoming ever more bizaare?

2. had me handcuffed and surrounded by four sherriff's officers because he was yelling AT ME?

3. ordered that MY ENTIRE FAMILY be cut off from my children because he said "YOU ARE POISON" even though he admitted that he has not a single shred of evidence to support any of my exhusband's allegations about me or them?


....that is just for starters. Shall I continue or will you wait to read/see on TV and in papers?

And for the record - this is not an isolated incident where some big bad judge is picking on bikinimom. IT IS A NATIONWIDE EPIDEMIC THAT NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT BECAUSE OF THE STIGMA ATTACHED TO ANY WOMAN LOSING CUSTODY OF HER KIDS.

My sister is moving back to Magyar Orszsag for many reasons, but how my family has been treated by the wonderfully free and equal US government is NUMBER ONE.

I doubt that's much of a limitation for the Ukranians who live in the Ukraine and are likely to shop in a Ukranian pharmacy.

My point was that in many places that are considered somehow "less free" than the USA, there are less restrictions on many sorts of transactions and activities.

The Foundation in NYC I work for does orphan stuff in Russia. We sell REBCO allocations and fund care in Russia with the proceeds. Some of the old ladies working for us also work for a three lettered agency here in the U.S at the same time.
 
US and other western societies arent communist states, theyre simply driven by capitalistic economic rationalism, which leads to regulation, which naturally impinges upon some personal freedoms for the sake of order

highly ordered societies are naturally more productive. Im makes sense that the economically superior west have such regulations

close ot morristown where I spent much of my childhood

Yea, try asking a family court judge to clarify exactlyt what it is that "you are lying about" and have your kids taken from you while they march you off to jail. Think I am spinning some yarn, just wait till you hear about how this has happened to GOBS of others just because the judge "didn't like them" for whatever reason.

Hmmmmmm there are all sorts of ways "around the system" but if everyone "followed the law" one would have to make an obscene amount of money in order just to keep HALF or some semblence thereof. If that ain't communism pretty much, I dont know what is. So we aren't all wearing the same uniform and calling each other comrade, so?

I simply can not stand all the tunnel visioned Americans who don't even hold a valid US passport or even know their own history going on and on about how the US is the mightiest, greatest nation on earth. IT AIN'T THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE. There are many other places where it is far better and easier to live, raise a family and be happy.

NO PLACE is perfect. But dammit, wake up and realize that the US ain't "all that" either.

Professors who examine questionable facts regarding 9/11 are put under investigation. Travel has become a living nightmare. Items are frequently confiscated and you have absolutely no ability to regain your property (this is theft by the way). They say these items could be used in a hostile manner. News flash.....you can kill someone with a magazine or a lap top or a tie or a shoe lace. People who question the administrations activities used to commonly receive FBI interviews before they realized that most educated people now question the activites of this cabal. Our system of checks and balances have been destroyed. Oddly, our Congress granted this power to the Bush cabal. Bush claims the right to seize any person--including American citizens--on his say-so and hold them without trial for the rest of their lives. Citizens are eavesdropped on without the need for a warrant. They can also be kidnapped and imprisoned by the declaration of George Bush Jr.

As we sail closer and closer to insolvency, one can only wonder if this was by design or an accident.

Will our nations creditors (the world bankers) obtain our public lands, our military weapons, and other significant national assets? That would be legal precedent for failing to service debt.

One would think they would be better serviced by keeping the nation in business. A failure to do so will be an enormously successful beast killed by greed.

The average income for a DOCTOR is like 80$ a month. Is that fathomable to you?

I spent many summer growing up in my parents' country Magyar Orszag - what Americans call Hungary. No TV, No telephone - WTF was a computer? Cows/pigs/chickens and outhouses, water from a well, meals on a woodburning stove and our playground was the waterhole and my Mama's and cousins' farms.

I would give my eyeteeth to give my children such simple pleasures. Why my sister is moving her family back there in August.

There are so many places that are wonderful and Americans ARE NOT MORE FREE than the rest of the world.

Everyone should open their eyes to all that is around them.

BBQ pork aside, their food is awful and smothered in mayo.. the fish is filled with worms

they smoke 60+ cigs a day

everyone drinks from morning to night

there's social pressure to be thin, fat people are ridiculed and looked down on. The concept of Fat acceptence or calling a porker 'curvy' or a 'godess' would have them rolling in laughter at you

You have health care? I haven't had it since before I divorced my exhusband. That was over 4 years ago. There is a growing number of American population who work like dogs yet have no health care. It is called "the working class - America's new poor." And what about our seniors who have to choose between buying their medication or eating that month?

If you dont have a car, why do you need gas?

As for better schooling? I can not speak of former soviet republics but in my parents' country the education AND food is SUPERIOR to United States in every way shape and form. There are many, many european countries where this is FACT.

As for opportunity - you've got me there. But what good is opportunity if you are taxed to death and really aren't free? Ever been accused of a crime that you didn't commit? I know of many. They were 100% innocent, yet their lives destroyed based on AN ALLEGATION. And financial ruin? Just pray to God that no one ever does this to you. It is then that you will find out what utter bullshit the American "justice system" is.

I got to agree there. I was at an amusment park today. Going in the water park my jaw dropped. Here I was like a dumb ass thinking I was fat cause I can't see my abs right now. I saw maybe a dozen attractive women either fit or just nice well put together bodies out of hundreds. I was like wtf even little kids all out fatties with there fatty parents makes me truly sad I think it is a safe guess that more then 50% of north america's population is fat and it is almost normal now and accepted very sad indeed.

Absolutely I don't consider it a flame. But I referenced my question in terms of the aesthetics...Spartacus presented a visual documentation of Russian Women alluding to their high average of beauty. I simply wondered about the demographics of the city (if similar to LA) he culled his subjects from. I know there is a moviemaking history in Russia/Ukraine and just wondered if these pretty women migrated to this particular city because of that industry or if we were, indeed, looking at the average beauty of the whole country comparable.

BTW, I'm proud to be an American.........

my point was simple: control yourself, take a breath, and communicate properly. expecting other people to double guess what you meant just because youre emotionally charged on a medium like the internet, where you can actually take a break and collect yourself, is pretty stupid.

too bad I couldn't chat with him

HAHAHA!!! WTF???? that hasn't been my experience at all!!

the schoolgirl pics are actually understandable as I also wanted to take a few pics that day... because I was actually really surprised at the mandatory graduation uniform as it looks more like a stripper costume and nobody would really ever actually believe me if I told them!! :) glad he posted a pic!! the food here has less mayo than avg american food, and lacking the fast food chains unless you're in moscow or st pete's so the majority of the food is actually really wholesome and good diet type stuff... the worst thing on the avg menu is the kolbasa which is basicaly various types of sausage, other than that, lots of cheese, fish, vegetables, potatoes, etc, but everything is home-cooked and I've yet to pull a worm form any food of mine in three months!! not evryone drinks and many don't it's growing to be more unpopular but there's still folks you'll see drinkin pretty much all the time... it's just less in the closet here!! and yeah a lot of folks smoke... and it's pretty much anywhere... but I've met a ton of folks that don't, and I've found quite a bit of food here rather tasty!! and yes they do walk ALOT most folks don't own cars but the public trans is actually really good and pretty inexpensive all bus rides within the city I'm in are equal a US quarter, and a taxi ride anywhere in the city is just under three dollars, so you don't really need a car for the most part!!

and as for the remark earlier (by some body else)

you think those girls in the nice clothes and and high heels lookin like they're ready to go to a club are thin because the country is poor??? hahaha that's right they also lack basic human survival instincts and buy pretty shoes over food so they can look good while they starve!!! hahaa!! that's ridiculous!! anyone one o fhtose girls pictured who's dressed to kill isn't thin because she's poor... womens' clothes are actually rather expensive here!! and if they can afford them they can also afford food!! it comes down to genetics, healthier diets and walking almost everywhere!!
