ya know that an avatar is really a vessel for a god, like in ancient times people believed a god would posses someones body and that person would be the channeler for their power, its just something Id thought Id throw in, avatars aren't a biggie on here, mine are all boring lol

Poe had wavier hair, was an alcoholic, and a moustache IIRC.
same here I guess. although no mustache.

if only we ccould all die face down in a puddle on the side of the street... well, technically I think that was where he found and he later died under the medical care.

I can recall there was a bar in Charlottesville VA that was called "Poe's" and in one booth off to the side he had supposedly carved his name into the wood there.
but yeah, as I recall he was from Boston (where I am now), and then died in Baltimore - I think he grew up in Richmond.
went to UVA (in Charlottesville) and dropped out - or rather wasn't allowed back due to gambling issues. went to west point, and I think I recall him getting kicked out there too.
he has a reputation as being into coke and opium - but that is lately been thought to have been unfounded and he was just an alcoholic. he also married his cousin - who was 13 or so at the time.

I always thought they found him dead - but I was big into the Poe code a year or two ago and they discussed him heavily during that and I am pretty sure it came up that he was passed out on the street when he was found and later died of pneumonia.
something like that.
