Today for the second week of trying out the 5x5 i decided to add another 5lbs to my bench press like need's stated in his tutorial. However I made the big mistake of thinking 5lbs = 5kg, anyway thats what our weights have on them (kg). So I put 5kg weights on both sides and progressed through the routine and noticed that it was real heavy, so I set the weights down and looked at it and noticed it was 5kg not 5lbs. My problem is my gym does not have 5lbs weights they have 1.2kg small weights is this enough for me to use in order for the 5x5 routine to work?

5lbs is just a guide anyway. Smaller increments are actually better in many cases as your body is better able to keep up with required strength increases and you will be able to continue further without reaching a plateau
