Humaniqueness
I need an example of an animal or a child..
something to prove that they have laserbeam thinking or some shit..
Please help me, I am lost!
Animals have 'laser beam intelligence' - They can apply a specific solution to a specific problem. How to get to Point B from Point A even though there is an obstacle in the way. They have a narrow range of focus.
Humans have 'floodlight' thinking / cognition. They can apply what they've learned in one situation, combine it with other variables and gained knowledge and apply it to another situation. In the game of chess, you want to get your pawn all the way down the board for a queen. Many different obstacles and new elements. Humans can discern thousands of patterns and solutions in a situation that could be categorized as the same problem.
lolol wrong website.
Ok so here is what I need to do, and I cannot seem to do it....:
Earlier this year, Harvard evolutionary biologist Marc Hauser presented a hypothesis of what he calls “humaniqueness,” the qualities that set human thought apart from animal intelligence. His idea believes that animal brains operate like laser beams, focusing on solving specific problems, while human minds work more broadly and apply knowledge from one task to another. Thinking about your own life experiences, can you think of an instance that demonstrates this hypothesis (for example, using the behavior of your pets, your young children, etc.)?
So I am thinking about an idiot dog that can run himself around a tree while tied on a chain, but cannot run in the opposite direction to get untangled....Or my cat who is a retard and will play fetch and ball with crumpled receipts but will not go near cat balls when thrown...
I dont know anymore!!!!
Deep breath time ... you're having trouble with it because it's a stupid fucking hypothesis obviously devised by someone who came up with something catchy to collect govt. grant money and also never seemed to hear of the 100th monkey theoryOk so here is what I need to do, and I cannot seem to do it....:

Precisely. Think about the tasks a guide dog for the blind has to do in the course of a day, just getting his human from point A to point B and back again. There is NO way they could accomplish what they do if they didn't have the ability to consolidate a broad variety of information about their environment. They have to take into consideration oncoming dangers, overhead dangers, underfoot dangers. Shit, they couldn't get someone across the street safely, much less have the ability to make the decision to disobey a direct command to prevent their person from walking into danger. However Chimps have learned basic tasks, remember our first manned flight was a chimp.
Also Dolphins have been known to protect humans from sharks, & show sustanctual intellengence.

But again, we're talking higher level mammals. Hamsters can be pretty one track minded, ever see one running a wheel for like, all day?
LMAO. Those three words don't exist in this forum.
Well look who just discovered they can read....................
