Watched a History channel special about the fella. Well worth watching, pretty professional for a TV show.

I have a hard time believing that the Romans fought very hard. I will bet that he offered lower taxes and the peasants were sick of Rome.

Seems that the world needed Roman leadership in a sense. We fell into the Dark Ages as soon as Rome collapsed from what I could gather. However this ignores the fact that eastern Rome flourished until...........the 14th century or so?

I believe there was a mini series on TNT made about Attila the Hun. Not bad.

I enjoy that type of history along with Alexander the Great and Charlemagne along with the Roman Empire.
