a coworker told me yesterday that he can't imagine a Pat's or Geno's cheese steak is any different than one around here. I tried to explain but inevitably it all comes down to gettin your ass down there and seeing for yourself.

i already know the answer to this question, but do you wash your hands inbetween cleaning the shitter and cooking the meat?

i prefer geno's over pat's, but if someone likes one or the other, there's no changing their minds. but those kind of cheesesteaks are a different school of thought. most other cheesesteak joints chop up their meat, and it totally changes the sandwich. I prefer D'Alessandro's in Roxborough, and Jim's Steaks on South St. can have amazing cheesesteaks sometimes, but they're not consistent.
