As anyone with any kind of experience of reactor design would be aware , there is an initial period of entrophic loss (to you that means massive inefficencies in conversion) at the start of such a reaction, but as things progress to normal operating (or steady state) conditions , the entrophic losses settle down , see the excellent "Elements of Chemical Engineering Design" by Scott Fogler and learn something. I believe there is even a picture of the Chevron reactors in there somewhere. Who's wearin the asshat now?

In any case my whole question was concerned with the entrophic pathways in a basic steam cracking operation at steady state ,what you gave me was a high school chemistry answer ignoring both features of the question , you get a D for effort and at least came clean on your ignorance of entrophy. OMIGOD! I can't give you the advanced mechanism of a complex chemical reaction that I FORGOT 17 years ago? Well excuuuuuse me. Props to you, you found the only topic on which I am not the world's expert.

As for "copy and paste-" you betcha, but if you were paying attention, you'd notice that there was a wee bit of selection and interpretation in there too that calls for a basic understanding of advanced chemistry. And with such a deliberately poorly worded question, what did you expect? My point to 2easy2Bpoor and Fonzie was that even a basic understanding of any topic they might hope to toss up would easily equal their "expertise".

Give me a nanosecond to come up with a medical question with keywords which you can search for on the internet and I'll lay money that you couldn't even come close to a coherent explanation, let alone one that someone else here might understand.

You have successfully demonstrated for all that when one focuses on something as monotonously dull and mind numbing such as chemistry or mathematics full time, they lose the ability to read any nuances, subtlety, or humor into language (i.e. this thread, which was pretty directly addressed to specific members of EF). I guess you felt called by the "other haters" part, to which part which you have now clearly proven that you belong.
