At what age did you start?

I'm trying to find out when guys who use gear started, whether you regret it, and what effects it had on you. I have some younger friends wanting to start juicing and I want to educate myself and them from information obtained from experienced users. So post when you started, and any other opinions about it. I know some of the pros started really young, and that's what these younger guys I know are using as leverage to start gear. Thanks guys!
 
I might use these results to analyze in a study in one of my research classes (psyc major). Maybe I'll compare when guys/girls think someone should start, to when they actually started. So if you guys want to throw in when you think someone should start....feel free.
 
if i could go back in time, id train at least 2 years naturally before considering gear.

learnking the proper form, exercises, and intensity needed to add and keep solid muscle isnt something that comes in a week, month, or even a year.
 
23--looking back it was too young. I should have stayed natural longer, but the sides were no problem. I ran 250 mg Sust for 10 weeks, and 25 mg Winny ED from week 6 to 12, and 75 mg tren (i cooked) eod weeks 6 to 10. I experienced slow and steady gains.

The only problem was knowing that I would do it again. I did experience mild depression symptoms post cycle my first time. Could have been the clomid, or just in my head, but that feeling certainly was real.

I hit it at 23, I'm only 24 now. I think I waited long enough though, I put in 6 years of consistent training before I hit it up.

I Started Clomid 3 weeks after my final sust injection. The first two days I did 100 mgs, followed by 50 for one week. I gradually cycled down. I used clomid for a total of three weeks.

I can remember sitting in my room, a few days into my PCT, and I just wanted to cry. No shit. I felt miserable and had no motivation. I honeslty had to convince myself that it was my body reacting to the juice leaving compounded with the heavy influx of clomid. It felt like that for a couple days, and was okay. It has never happened since. Maybe it is because I know what to expect. But like I said, those feelings I had, however manifested, were certainly real to me.
 
31 but only after I'd gained (40lbs naturally over 2 years) and had a good knowlege of how my training and diet affected my body.
 
18 but after about a solid year of researching my ass off about nutrition and gear. had the training aspect down and was lifting consistently for 2 years. don't regret it for a second and the only side effect i experienced while on was mild anxiety. pct went well, things are back to normal, i kept a lot of my gains, and am still making gains in the gym.

now 8 years later i've only grown less then an inch since then. And i will never gain very well clean again. I regret it very much, my shoulder width never finished so i'm not gonna be able to get wide. I wish i would have waited until i was at least 21-22, the worst sides weren't the physical ones, it was the psychological once, i was constantly depressed even tough i had everything a kid could ask for. I had several suicide toughts during a period of 2 years but i got some help and got things sorted out, i can't blaim it on the steroids but they are really hard on the psychology of a kid
 
started lifting at age 15, started aas at 25 back in the mid '80s when it was a misdomeaner. quit after about 3 yrs of use because i didn't know what the hell i was doing and i wasn't making any gains at all, just side effects. stayed clean until age 40 and have been off and on for 3 yrs now.
 
22- one first cycle now in week 2. Been training since 13.. so about 8.5 years. Decided to do this to help out in bodybuilding.

holy crap, and I thought I started too young... (21) started an d-bol only cycle.. ..lmao.. how stupid of me. I know much better now @ 23.

I hope posts like yours help the younger guys re-think thier decisions.
 
20 had a 6 year layoff from training all together got fat as a cow to about 35% bf and 246 lbs at 5'6" and decided to start working out again.Dieted down naturally to about 180 qith around 15% bf in the course of a year and look really flat and crapy so I started hitting it up and havent stoped since now at 190 with about 10% bf.
 
30! Natural lifter for a very long time before i took the leap. I was strong as a natural bodybuilder, but not as dense as I am now due to AS.
 
i was 19 when i did my first

22 now...could have waited maybe a year longer...was an intense trainer then...however it still was young...No regrets because I did do it the right way...

and continue to do it safely and no more than two components per cyc...

started at 18, now 30. just finished first clean year since 18. did alot. too much too young. don't notice any sides really, when i think about the carelessness in this matter, it makes me wonder though. considering doing another light cycle. i think the youngest 1 should try is 20, but more like 23 w/ about 5 years of natural training and good diet.

I started at 17. I did Sust 250 (Pakistan) at only 250mg a week for 12 weeks. It was probably the most dramatic change I ever had on gear. I went from 168 lbs to 185 @8% BF. I never did pct, and never lost an inch afterwards. No side effects other than some light acne which is normal for a 17 yr old. I honestly have nothing negative to say. It was the best thing I ever did. I still believe in light doses. I never experience side effects like many mentioned on these forums. I relate that directly to dose, stacks, and choice of gear or stacks used. I have a limited choice of gear because of what I know and see from other users. Sustenon is a great choice for first timers and experienced users alike IMO.

I trained since I was 13 (8th grade). I was inspired after I went to a local seminar and met Francis Benafatto and his trainer. I also played hockey and baseball. So I had base before I started.

im 17 and im considering starting on about what you didi wiegh about 165 but will be 175 before ii use anything. im glad to hear something positve for a change
 
20 and started first cycle 11 weeks ago, turned 21 since then.

5 years of natural training. clean diet and rest. Went from 120lbs at bout 20% b/f, to 170lbs at 15%b/f all naturally.

I'm 186lbs now @ 11%b/f after first cycle of 500mg sust per week for 12 weeks and 30mg Dbol for 5 weeks kicker.

No regrets as i believe i was ready for aas and i'm going to be doing this for the rest of my life.

I was 20 for my first cycle. Probably too young its hard being 150lbs as a junior in college, so I guess the side effects were that I got big. Then I waited 5 years to do my second cycle which I just got off.
 
too early but i had to rise to the occasion, everyone else at that level of competition was doing it and i realized to get AA status it was necessary

I had a strong natural base at 6'0" 227lbs after working out as long as I can remember, I blew out my shoulder playing football, and as soon as I found out I would never be able to play again, I decided it was time to get friggin' huge now that I didn't have to worry about drug testing. The best I have looked was 252lbs at under 10%, right now I am 225lbs and ready for a bulker after almost two years off of gear.

Did my first cycle about 6 mos. ago at 18yrs of age. I did a Deca only and tapered on and off my doses. I started at about 185lbs and am now 200lbs at 5'8. I have been lifting since i was 14 yrs old and i dont regret starting at a young age. PCT went good, kept my gains, and no mental sides. I was well informed on AAS when i started and hope everyone will learn before they do.
 
I will be completing my first cycle in 2 weeks at 20. I've been lifting since I was about 14 and made steady gains throughout the years. I started to bottom out about a year ago and started to think about juicing. I read up on it and asked some friends and older guys that were into it. Decided to go go with a test prop/dbol cycle.

I started out at 6'0 185. I'm now in the 205-208 range and I'm completely happy with the results. Injecting myself became easy as time went on and I've had no trouble with side effects.
