Ass to big, new leg routine

My ass is way to big and is starting to/has been getting in the way of alot of things in life, not to mention I hate the look of it.

So Im going to change my leg routine.
Ive already switched to racked deads becasue the normals ones gave my ass a great pump + Id rather wokr my upper back more.

As for for my leg routine I dont have a set one.
But I usually work them so hard I often feel like vomiting and find it hard to complete my shoulder routine afterwards.

I usually do 2 typles of squating motion, ether back squats, leg press, and lately front squats.

And I always do 4 sets of legs curls and a few sets for calves.

I keep contemplating on doing on culrs and extentions but Id lose so muc size, so Im thinking of doing curls, extentions and front squats, maybe only 3/4 though


thoughts and tips?

no but seriously, i feel that lately my ass is getting too big too, i dont squat heavy anymore, reps of 185-225, and lunges and then i ride the stairmaster for 30min. thats basically my leg day in a nut shell.

as for hammys, i just deadlift, and that gets them real good for me.
 
Try hack squats instead the upright position eliminates glute activation and save the back squats for once every two weeks. Front squats r also good for filling up the quads. also if you pre exaust w leg extensions your ass won't grow big.

+1 I really noticed a difference when I started doing extensions before squats!
 
sounds like that to you cuz you dont have the prob of big ass big thighs not fittin into jeans lol... I gotta buy 38's when my waist is a 36 at best... my legs are so fuckin big and always have been..

if youi find the answer to toning down the legs and ass lmk

The solution is... a belt.

I have a 34inch waist but due to my already thick butt, legs and hips I am forced to wear at least 36-38 sized pants and 36-39 sized underwear. I'll probably be wearing size 40's by the time I'm done even though I'll probably only have a 35-36inch waist.

I'm not getting how preexhausting the quads with extensions will help reduce glute hypertrophy squatting. Wouldn't it just involve ur arse/hamstrings more when ur squatting because your quads are unable to contribute as much?

Excatly.
I gotta get size 38's, which looks weird when I wear tight shirts to show off my upper body!

I recently bought a pair of those skinny jeans, 1, to show off my huge legs and 2 coz I like the look of em, but cant coz I got 2 pillows stuffed down the back.

But yeah Ill try the whole hack squat thing, and front squats. Thanks for the advice guys.

Can't u just buy baggier jeans? I mean I'm only a 30 inch waist as I'm scrawny (or 28-29 for certain brands), but the tighter cuts completely hug my arse and hamstrings which are disproportionately large.

I mean how huge is it? Can't say I've ever seen a guy with normal or low bf whose arse is so huge that it invites negative attention.

I'm mean are we talking something like this

Another thought - what about doing 1/2 squats (but the bottom 1/2 only - the arse part) at super high reps to reduce muscle mass. Basically an arse aerobic exercise
 
Try just going to parallel on squats. There's a certain angle you get to around parallel where if you don't go past it, you get extreme pressure on your quads to hold that position and then go back up. When you break parallel it relieves the tension on your quads and then brings it to your ass. My quads burn like crazy when i do em that way. I understand it's not the full movement but I feel for isolation it really targets the quads pumps the sh*t out of them more than full deep squats.

Right after that I do long strided longes with dumbbells to hit the ass separately and barely use my quads on that exercise.

I don't know why but when I just did the 5x5 I had like a tree trunk waist and ass. Looked like a line backer. Now that I do isolation exercises with hypertrophy emphasis and higher reps my waistline shrank, my ass is more sculpted n cut rather than bulky.

Don't know if that will help you death but my butt used to be annoyingly big, and now that i changed my routine I am really f***** happy with it for looks as well as overall strength.

P.S <body fat too? my mom has a big ass and flat stomach. maybe you just put on most of yer fat in that area...godda*n genetics....pot belly father, big ass's mom, combine both of em worst of both worlds, i better stay slim ;D.>

By pre-exausting the quads you wont be able to use big weights s because your quads will be so fucking burned, by consequence the glutes won't receive enough stimulus to grow...
 
Just another thought... Try Sissy squats, the name sounds gay, but those are a quad blaster.
 
Just funny you say that. I to squat heavy and my butt sure can get in the way. The biggest problem I have encountered is I don't have extemely long arms and trying to hold the grips on say a leg extention is impossible because I can't reach them.

hahaha, well from that angle its a bit hard to tell because she's leaning back and making her lower back area look smaller, but Id say roughly that size, yes.
Terrible, I know.

Today I went straight to the squat rack and did 1 set of 12 front squats, and felt my ass being used - even with perfect from and about parralell. So I disabandoned it and hit the curls and extentions which prooved to sting alot.

Do you think you might be storing fat in your glutes?

I know that I tend to gain a lot of muscle in my glutes as well. If you stick to front squats, hack squats, leg extensions then you won't be recruiting a lot of glutes.

You can also use the leg press single leg, no higher then 90 degrees (keep the feet mid level or slightly lower). If you like to lunge then do them smith with your front foot under the bar, not infront, then have your body back and take your back foot off the ground so it is a full single leg lunge. These are killers on your quads.

The lady is right! Your probably leaning forward too much... Lift your heels and go on your toes, you'll be surprised.
 
If you make the rest of your body bigger...your butt won't look so big.

I wear 40" jeans and have veins in my legs when they are at 30".

Nah Im not at my leanest, but Im naturally a lean person (although Ive never had a visible 6-pack. I guess my stomack is were alot of the fat is stored)

But no, this is weird.... but its perky, like fake boobies. And no dimples etc. Just plain rock-hard muslces that I cant get rid of.

Ok it sounds like we have similar genetics. I store fat on my abs, not so much on the obliques, mostly front. And if you lean down - I guarantee you will loose some from your glutes. They are probably a storage spot as well, however you have nicely shaped muscle underneath so the fat is shaped nicely over it. I bet you could easily loose 2 inch from your glutes. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just train the legs the way I mentioned and it will help to take away from the glutes. I try not to train my glutes as they are pretty round already.

Also - MAKE SURE!!!! You train your hammies hard. try to build those suckers up so the glutes and hams look good from the sides. If you have round glutes, then you need big hammies to balance them.

I you do the extensions strictly u don't need to grab the grips, just grab your waist or behind the seat.
 
I've had a huge ass my entire life and have never had a negative comment about it. However, the amount of females that have told me that I have an amazing ass and legs is .... well I lost count in the 20 thousands.

Keep squatting heavy.

You could buy the larger size jeans and have the tailor take in the waist.. This way your legs and ass are comfortable, and you bont hv all the extra material around the waist.
 
I got 33" thighs and an ass to match and I have NEVER had a woman complain about my butt being too big. Shoot, they usually wanna touch it and put their hands in the back pockets and squeeze hahaha. Then I'll give them a little flex and they eat it up. Keep squating heavy and don't let the mainstream media mess with your self image.
Oh yeah, thanks to the person that put up that pic of Serana's HUGE arse. Now that's an arse Mmm mmm mmmmmmm!

Ha - I thought that shot of serena was pretty cool. I always she would make an excellent bodybuilder - at times she has pretty massive shoulders/arms for a girl considering she probably know weights, and runs many hours per day. And that bubble butt is in that photo pure muscle
