Hey All.
This morning when I went to do my injection, I decided to try the quad and give my glutes a much needed rest. Used a 1" 23g and went for a spot on the outside of the quad about a 7" above the knee. As I aspirated I could see there was blood in the syringe...since this was the first time this ever happened to me, I wasn't exactly sure what to do...I knew I needed to pull out and relocate, but as you re-inject, how do you know that when you aspirate the second time that the blood still in the syringe from the first try is not what you see? I ended up changing the pin all together and going back to the glute...but was changing the pin neccessary? Once there's blood in the syringe, is it still safe to reinject in another spot? And how can you tell the difference between that and any new blood that may occur during your second attempt aspiration?
Any help is apprciated.
