Asking for some Critisism

I have been working out since the middle of september, with 4 weeks off due to christmas break and a reading week. I am 170lbs, from 130 in september(5' 9'').
My lifts are:
Bench 215x8
Squat 225x6(Started legs a bit over a month ago)
Deadlift 315 for 6
DB shoulder press 70 x 7


Also I am planning on cutting for 2 months, may-july.
Please tell me how this is going, and some tips.
 
You don't supply enough information. How about that for criticism? :)

Seriously, you've told us how much you can lift now, but not how much you could lift before. Adding and extra 1/3 to your bodyweight in 5 months is not bad going.

Deadlift was 225 for 6
Squat im not sure
SHoulder press with db was 40's for 10
 
In that case, you're doing pretty well then. :)

Just asking for tips is too broad a question to give any specific advice. In the broadest sense, my tips would be to get better at the big compound movements over time and eat enough to build muscle. But you're obviously already doing those things.

Do you have anything in particular you're concerned with?
 
Im wondering if cutting for two months , which includes a huge diet change and higher reps lower weights is a good idea? then right back to bulking after
 
You don't need to switch your routine up just because you're cutting. A program that's good for increasing strength will be good for maintaining it whilst you're under a calorific deficit. Cutting's just about calories in vs calories out.

This is correct. You MAY need to slash volume/intensity due to energy loss, but that is a maybe. Why do you want to cut? At 5' 9", 170 is by no means a weight you shouldn't be really lean at, and if that's you in the avatar, you definitely do not need to be cutting.

Anyway, that is great progress you made.
 
lol bro 315 deadlift and only been working out since sept.. thats pretty fuckign good if youa sk me.
 
i question you cutting...

seems silly to me when you're obviously below 10%, and want to get big...

get on a 5x5 and really pack on the weight now... then cut once you hit 200 or more...

Blah, I did it. I feel dirty, lol. You've got 8 pics on there and they all look like before pics, where you had low bodyfat. I'm surprised at the amount of muscle you had on you at 130. How tall are you? You must be a midget to look that good at 130. ;)
 
The first five pictures are 130 and the last three im 170, its very easy to tell the difference, i find it comical that you said that. Rather shocked...
 
It's difficult to tell because you weren't flexing in the first 5. To be honest, I only clicked on number 7 because the first 5 look a bit :rainbow: and you were flexing differently in number 4 :)

You still look lean at 170 anyway, so I wouldn't bother cutting.

well the last 3 are pretty dark. I am sure there is a difference. but the pic quality is not that great.

put up some full body pics also showing your wheels..
looks to me like you have a good start. anthing from now on should really show
i bet just another 5-10lbs would really show up.
