In an effort to win over the hearts of Americas youth, President Bush sends his cabinet members across the country to speak at public schools.

US attorney General John Ashcroft was visiting an elementary school. After 15 minutes of speaking, he says "I will now answer any questions you have."

Bobby stands up and says "I have four questions."

Just then, the recess bell rings, and the kids are rushed outside to play. Upon returning...

Mr. Ashcroft says "I am sorry we were interrupted. I will answer any questions you have."

A little girl called Julie stands up and says: "I have six questions."

I think I read that this has already occured. When government tells you it will only use its power in the most limited sense, your response should always be laughter.

It has already occurred. In some areas, meth labs have been classified as weapons of mass destruction. I guess if you can't find them in Iraq, you look in the hills of North Carolina.

Another potential abuse case I found appalling occurred over a year ago. Basketball star Allen Iverson was charged with brandishing a gun and faced 12 charges, several of them, arising out of post 9/11 legisaltion. None of the post 9/11 charges was a gun violation - they were things like "making terroristic threats". Iverson earns $20M a year, and almost everything was dropped. Most people don't have those resources.
