AS and effect on moods?

I had a crazy few days, it's been a real emotional ride with my ex. The next few weeks look to be a little bumpy following the natural course of relationships of course. This not a post wining and bitching. I just finished up deca and sus (Disapointed I mst say, only got 15lbs) and I understand moods can crash after a cycle. I got enough proviron for 10 days. I plan on running clomid 4 weeks, and I hear that can make moods crash. I will land on feet from the shit that has gone down, just wanna know if I should expect any mood crashes from coming off. Not really worried either way, just wanna know what to expect if anything. Thanks.

I've felt down before after a cycle. I'm a pretty mello guy though.. .I don't really get "rages" from being on... and when I get off... I am just a little more passive that normal. Where hormones are involved... you never know.

Slyder, the clomid will definately make you moody/depressed. I used clomid for an anti-E for part of my cycle. I'm thinking of getting some Prozac before the end of my cycle so that when I get back on the clomid, maybe I can control my emotions a little better.

I am going through it right now and it ain't fun. I was real depressed towards to end of my cycle (damm women) and nothing has changed as of yet and the Clomid has just made it worse. I have no modivation and my appetite is suffering but I am still shuving that food down and geting my ass in that gym cause there ain't no way in hell I am losing those gains I worked so hard for. It may get worse for you and it may not but make sure you don't let it effect your life and still work your ass off to keep what you have

Mustang, do you know of any negative interactions between AS and Prozac (or any other commonly prescribed psychoactive drugs)?

I have not heard of any. I know many people who take Gear and anti-depresent type drigs at the same time and see no negative sides while on them. Coming off some anti-depressents(such as Xanax and Paxil) can not be easy and I would seriously consider other alternatives if any because you may not want to deal with some of them. I know M.O.D came off Paxil and went through HELL so you could e-mail or PM him with some of your questions

Sorry bud, but prozac will not help you!!!

It takes at LEAST 2 months before you will notice and effects from prozac, so unless you are planning on doing 3 months of clomid, I would can that idea.

Let's put it this way - coming off your cycle, think twice before you say anything you'll regret to your girlfriend. I got a bit paranoid after my last cycle and basically felt depressed and "whiny" - the feeling went away but not until I said some things I regretted!

A good rule of thumb - while taking Clomid, don't say what you really think, and avoid all jealous rages. :)

sorry guys. Everybody is blaming on the juice and cycle. If you read all the posts, I think its the girlfriend. Just an observation:D .
But seriously, there are two really good points up there. One is that it takes a while for anit depres to kick in and other is that they will not screw your cycle or post cycle up. Personally the emotions can be controlled if you keep everything in prospective(Knowing what stage of the cycle you are in and what your response to a conflict will be). If you always think about it when feeling down, you can usually cheer yourself up. Just my .02

I have to disagree with you to a point on that. I have never taken any anti-d's myself, but my last g/f started taking Prozac for depression (and she took a lot, might I add) and after about 2-3 weeks, it kicked in pretty good and she changed so much. She was like a whole different person and all of her emotions were gone. She was like a robot. She wanted to sleep all the time and had no sex drive at all either, when she was almost like a nympho before. Needless to say, it ruined everything between us. :bawling:

With anti depressants you will find that some of the negative side effects, ie the need to sleep, occur fairly quickly, while the positives take longer to be felt. You can see side effects almost immediately on many pysch drugs and they often go away as you adapt to the drug. The intended effects however occur on a different level than do most of the side effects and generally occur after there has been a few weeks in the change of seratonin regulation in the brain. Personally, I loved taking Zoloft and AS at the same time because the combo seemed to give me an erection to ejaculation time that was enormously high. I could last forever. It was damn cool for my gf at the time.

welbutrin is a better choice when coming off...that or provigil, as both are dopamine agonists (like d-bol,, which is why it elevates mood) and will keep you from feeling lethargic...you could also take L-tyrosine (has to be on an a completely empty stomach or it will not get absorbed) or piracetam. Zoloft has a much shorter half-life than prozac, so if you are gonna take an SRI, it is a better choice (I personally feel worse on SRIs, but everyone is different).
