arms and cutting

Howdy folks, ive been on the 5x5 for a little while now. Its a great program ive made lots of improvements and gained about 15lbs so far, but when its all said and done im going to want to cut for a few weeks. However, my arms havnt gained much size, would it be possible to develop a routine to cut as well as build arm size?? With the proper dieting of course...

uhhh... ok, i'll try to give ya some advice here...

If you've been training for a few years and done millions of curls before you knew better, ect... you've probably gotten your arms to near max genetically (at THAT bodyweight).

I'd say it'd be damn near impossible to add Arm MASS during a cutting diet.

I put on LMB and kept arm size during a cutting diet (same bodyweight pretty much)... but I almost had a nervous breakdown during that period of time :artist:

Anything is possible... but an increase of arm size with decreased bodyweight... proooooooobably not.

(p.s. my bodyweight didn't change much, thus my arm size stayed same if not increased slightly from the LBM increase)

You can just add in 3 sets of curls at the end of the week....don't expect to increase arm size while cutting, however, dropping bodyfat will make your arms LOOK bigger, even though they will most likely actually be a little smaller.

Yeah as long as you can keep up what your doing now (sets and weight), in reality, you SHOULDNT lose any size, and if you do, it wont be much.. and while your cutting, like stated before, no matter, your arms will LOOK bigger...

Alright thanks for the info, i havnt really came up with a cutting routine yet, its still a few weeks out but i plan on keepin heavy deadlifts...something about deadlifting makes me happy lol
