Arm Swell

I think I know what I did wrong but just checking up on if any of you have gone through this

After my delt injection on Wednesday my whole arm has bloated up about 1.5 to 2" bigger. Its not sore but a little red...looks awful though.

I am pretty sure it is because hen I was injecting a paused a few times and then looked down and notice that the needle was not all the way in my arm.....so I am thinking that there is alot of oil under the skin and not directly into the muscle.

Does anyone know how long this will take for the swelling to go down and what I can do if anything?

Possably just oil between the skin and muscle(sterile abcess). Is the area warm to touch ? Any sick feeling ? It should pass in 3-5 days.

Massage it with a hot washcloth to help break up the oil,do this several times keeping the cloth hot!

u can try sticking a thick needle in there and sucking out the oil.

if it is a sterile abscess it can take 1-2 months for it to go away. i had one in my quad.. but it was small. it slowly shrunk over time
