Are your children trick or treating this year?

I know several parents who aren't letting their kids go out this year. A few are only allowing them to go to houses they know. It's pretty sad that a lot of kids won't be taking advantage of one the funnest holidays for them. I suggest that people throw some halloween parties where kids can get together and still make a night out of it.

What are your thoughts on the matter? Any ideas for alternatives?

Yeah, the kids are going T or T, but just on our immediate street and the grandparents, of course. You can bet your ass I'll be with them and checking that candy closely. Paranoid? Goddamn right I am.....

Lots of churches, schools, etc. are doing parties and stuff instead of trick-or-treating.

Damn shame.....one of my fondest childhood memories. That and breastfeeding through middle school..........

if I had kids Id only take them to friends and family homes, kids party is a great idea, my friends are having one and everyone is bringing their crumb snatchers. theyve also talked to people in their neighborhood and are having like a community type party, where their will be alot of homes having parties and inviting their friends and fam, then their all gonna t or t at those houses. so it should be a good time for all...

funny stuff, Zebo......did ya get my msg with the karma?

I live in Canada, by the way.....my kids are still young and don't go alone T&T'ing...the few yrs we have gone, we were cautious and checked everything out as good as we could......this year, even though we live in a different city now, we will be more cautious and are only going to 20 houses or so and we know the houses we are going to.......I think that's a great idea about the church parties and such......

Great idea on having parties for the kids. :)

Down here in Texas most people just take their kids to the churches and schools that have carnivals that day. I think they have more fun really....at least that is what my kids think.
